  • Bacon???

How much bacon is everybody eating?? I am eating about 4 to 5 slices a day!!! Don't know if I should eat more or less??

I can eat more than a pound by myself if I wanted. Strips I only make every couple weeks because they last about 5 minutes here. I also buy bags of crumbles and we use that daily.

I eat bacon till it doesnt taste good anymore. Usually thats about 2-3 slices a day for awhile...then i get sick of it for a week or two, then repeat. Listen to your body, itll let you know.

bacon usually comes with 5 or so grams of sugar per serving (1 or 2 slices...i cant remember!) so theres that to think about. I eat 2-3 slices when I do eat it, and thats usually about 3 times a week.

I use an uncured bacon and have it a couple of times a month. Love the taste of bacon but don't think it's the best meat to have all the time.

Does this apply to all bacon? Never heard that before.

@primalpanda: bacon sold in stores contains trace amt of sugar, look for fresh pork side from a local farmer. we get ours today:-) yummmmm!

I go in cycles, I'll eat 5-6 slices a day for a while, maybe mix in the odd pound-a-day deal here and there, then I won't have any for a week or two.

Oh great, now I want bacon.

If tiny Cape Cod can have farms, I'm sure a big state like Wyoming must have them. I'd start there. I had great luck with using localharvest.org and maybe other posters have some other links to help you in your search.
