  • What are some good vehicles for calories?

that don't taste like crap.... for example:

scrambled eggs soak up all the oil in the pan

    coconut milk smoothie

oatmeal cooked in heavy cream (this is out of the question though, it's just an example)

what else? No nuts or grains though. I'm thinking of quinoa since it's so easy to put tons of butter in it without making it sickening...

Straight up butter. Straight up mascarpone. Whipped cream.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, steak in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Holy F***, What a Ride!"

Meh yes, but I want to eat actual 'food'. I don't mind eating tons of butter, but I want something to put it on...

Also cottage cheese and peanut butter would be ideal but you know the deal with peanuts...

Yeah, dairy was the first thing that came to mind. Pork rinds and bacon work as do many processed luncheon meats. Salami is good stuff. My calories were too low yesterday due to IFing so I made some of those crackers from good cheese and topped each with a slice of salami a couple minutes before they were done so it melted into the cheese. Good eats, tons of calories.

Whipped cream and berries. Cream curries. Mascarpone ice cream. bacon and more bacon. Stir fry with lots of oil, meat, and leafy veggies to soak up the oil. Butter the hell out of your veggies. Brisket. Chicken skin. Chicharonnes. Sweet potato. Sweet potato fries. Cheesy goodness.

Heavy cream sounds good, at least it's drinkable, if you know what I mean.

And yes, cheese. I forgot about the Kerrygold cheese from Costco. It's pretty cheap too. Going to buy it this week.

I might also get a small bag of quinoa to see if I'll like it. I've had some digestive issues with it in the past, but I'll make sure to sprout it cook it fully.

a good sized chunk of creamed coconut. That will up your calories in a jiffy.

Lol, I used to eat half a block of those a day. They (I think it was) gave me a horrible stomach pain! So that's out for now. =\

as much as it goes right through me and pains my stomach a little, there's a noticeable different in the belly area the next day as in it's a tad flatter. The discomfort is worth it on occasion :P

Cream (lots of it) in my morning cuppa joe. I also mix a splash of cream into full-fat yogurt (Fage) and cottage cheese. Gonna try the cheese crisp thing -- sounds yummy. Sometimes I bake 4 chicken thighs, eat 2, plus the lovely crispy skin off the other 2. I save the 2 skinless thighs for a coconut milk curry or something. And a spoonful of coconut oil before meals.

Guacamole or drained tuna with a tablespoon or two of lemon-flavored fish oil stirred in. (Use the mixture as salad dressing.)

                          +1 on the coconut cream.

Bacon is yummy on thin slices of apple.

+1 for guac. That stuff goes on absolutely anything. Fry up a big chunk of ground beef, top with guac (made with a whole avocado) and there's your calorie injection.

Thought of another one: Half an avocado blended with 1/4 cup (or more) coconut milk makes a very rich, delicious, and highly caloric pudding. (As a bonus, it's a conversation-starting, Shrek-slime green color!)
