  • Is there any Vegetables you can't have

    on the pb diet - like potatoes or pumpkin? Is it like atkinks where you basically eliminating all starchy carbs in vegetables?

      potatoes are out. sweet potatoes occasionally though. especially if you're super active

          Most primals limit starchy veggies (like sweet potatoes, yams, and winter squash) in the interest of moderating carb intake.

          White potatoes are typically avoided due to high carb load for low nutritive benefit, plus anti-nutrients if I recall correctly.

          Some, particularly those with autoimmune or inflammation issues, avoid nightshades (tomatoes, peppers, eggplants), but most do not find this necessary.

            This question is one with an instinctual answer. Do you think a tomato will hurt you in the long run? Probably not. Do you think the potato will have adverse effects on your system? Probably. Do you think that a piece of celery will throw off your omega rations and throw your hormones into haywire? Definitely not.

            The vegetables that are deemed bad here are very obvious. The ones that are not bad are also obvious. The ones that are not even vegetables (corn anyone?) are even more obvious.
