  • If you think coconut can not get any better...

then you have not had coconut ice cream yet. I just poured two cans of coconut milk along with some unsweetened cocoa powder and some grated coconut into an ice cream maker. My mom and I finished the whole batch, it was amazing.

It got me thinking: does anyone know where I could find an affordable website to buy bulk coconut milk. My favorite brand is the organic whole foods coconut milk that goes for 1.50 a can. Is there a better deal out there for organic coconut milk?

OMG! I just did that about 2 minutes ago! But on a smaller version, most of 1 can, unsweetened cocoa powder, grated coconut, stevia and a small container. Can't wait
    Calm the f**k down.

mine is without an ice cream maker...I just freeze the can with blueberries and almonds mixed in...its probably not quite as awesome as with an ice cream maker..but its still deliciousness.

I buy the big restaraunt sized cans by the case through my local food co-op. Cheap!

somebody around here posted that their favorite coconut milk is powdered/bulk. Malpaz? Mirrorball? Can't remember. If I figure out the website I'll post it.

I would love to have an icecream maker; I have a Vitamix but then I have to add stuff to it that is already frozen. Can you make good coconut icecream by freezing the coconut milk first?

Here you go. Note that this product has a trace of casein and maltodextrin in it. http://www.wildernessfamilynaturals....-milk/CMP5.php

OOOH... you could make a coconut milk shake in the vitamix. Freeze your mix in ice cubes.... Then blend (perhaps with some of the cold liquid)

Didn't someone just post about blending coconut flakes to a whip consistency... that would really cream things up... the possibilities are endless!!!!
