  • Help Needed! Chest Pains?

So, I have been primal for about 4 months now. before I went primal I was starting to have regular chest pains right through the center of my chest, and sometimes they even felt like they were slightly on the right side of my chest. The pains were more stabbing than burning, and I chalked it up to acid reflux.

Once I changed my diet to primal they went away immediately, but now they are back and I can't seem to get rid of the pains. I really don't want to resort to medication, but I am beginning to wonder if I can cure this without the medications...

Anyone with any experience with this type of issue please help. It is driving me nuts. Thanks in advance...

If were up to me, I would get off the computer, go to the doctor, and get it checked out.
    Really.

      +1 to kuno
Get ye to a doctor post- haste.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, steak in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Holy F***, What a Ride!"

I suppose the doctor route should be the first step. I have just had so many worthless doctors over the years that don't listen and rush me out with a prescription that I find them to be more trouble than they are worth.

Yeah, it could be Fibromyalgia or PCS (Pericardial catch syndrome), but why take the chance on an internet diagnosis when only a real doctor, live and in person can give you a proper diagnosis.

I have had mild issues from both in the past. My Fibromyalgia was due to repetive work, like working at a desk/computer and/or getting pinched nerves from various factors...like football, basketball, baseball, track. I also got the pain from having cracked ribs from football, cows and horses kicking me, etc. Better to just go get checked out. Once they rule out cardiac issues, then you can focus on where the pinched nerve is or what is causing the repetitive motion issues.

Yeah I think you might need a proper diagnosis on this one. A doc will ask questions on your medical history, could be heart, lungs (infection maybe), or stomach issues. I agree about avoiding medication, but some conditions really do need the help of modern medicine. Many of Grok's friends and family died young because they didn't have the treatments available to us today like antibiotics. Yes they are overused, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't take them when we need to.

              Thanks,

I am scheduling a doctor's visit right now. I think it could be a nerve issue as well. Sometimes the pain willl radiate to where I can't figure out if it is in my chest or my back. I work at a damn desk all day and have back spasms pretty frquently as well. It is pretty ridiculous that my entire life I have been an athlete and never suffered any serious injuries, but a desk job is wreaking havoc on my entire body.

I'm in the same boat. Desk jobs kill your body. Look at mine...it went to absolute hell in 3 years.

I remember having severe neck and back pain until I discovered that if I moved my computer monitor from the side to the front it disappeared! Doh!

I am seriously considering requesting a standing workstation because this is just ridiculous. I know the people in my office will probably think I am nuts, but so be it.

Who care about looking ridiculous. If it is what you need to function without chest pains or any other issues, then it is what you need. If they refuse to pay for it, buy it yourself.

I'm having similar nagging issues at work with back pain (not the chest pains thought) due to sitting a lot during the day. I am free to get up and move around as I need, but I still have to sit to work on the computer, which is a majority of my job. I've jokingly asked for a standing workstation, but that didn't go anywhere. I'm probably going to have to make a big deal out of it at some point soon.

Your pain sound very much like how my gallbladder atttacks felt.

I would recommend you see the doctor. I have mytro valve prolapse and your symptoms sounds similar. That being sad I had that same type of symptoms because my back needs adjusted. As soon as it is cracked the pain is gone. I would want to rule of any heart issues for sure.

It could also be gall bladder but I second the recommendations to get it checked out.
