  • New to Primal, need some guidance!

    Hello all,

    I am new to this forum and discovered the Primal diet not so long ago, I thought I would give it a go.
    Would some of you please look at what I'm doing and tell me if I'm going in the right direction or if there are things I should change completely, thanks!
    So here is a summary of my food intake/physical activity for the last 5 days:

    05:00-Wake up
    05:30-Drink 0.5 L of water
    05:45-Lift weights for 40 minutes (6 days a week)
    06:25-Cardio for 30 minutes (3 days a week)
    07:00-Breakfast {Protein Shake}
    08:00-Go to work (I sit at a desk in front of a computer all day)
    11:00-Lunch {a piece of fish, with vegetables and salad bits (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber...) vinegar as dressing}
    04:00-Go home
    04:15-Snack (occasionally, if I'm very hungry) {canned tuna (in water), spring onions, tomatoes, balsamic vinegar}
    07:00-Dinner{4 eggs scrambled, spring onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, 2 tbsp. coconut oil}
    09:00-Go to sleep

    1. I drink over 4L (135 oz.) of water a day, spread-out throughout the day
    2. I probably get about 20 minutes of sun exposure a day
    3. I sprint once a week
    4. I have the same dinner every night
    5. I measure 178cm (5'10) and weight 89kg (196 lbs)
    6. I'm a 21 year old male
    7. My goal weight is 70kg (154 lbs)

    Any advice/comments would be very appreciated!

    That seems like very little food...

      You can eat tuna in oil if you can find a canned tuna in a healthy oil. Canned salmon I believe is usually in it own oil. I agree on the food. Try putting everything into something like and see what you get for overall calories. A male at your age should be eating around 2500 calories I think. Check out some sites that will help you calculate a healthy calorie range.

        Where's your fat? Are you feeling satisfied after each meal? Seems like you would be hungry much of the day without more fat.
