  • Oooohhh... Just got an idea. Frozen custard, coconut milk style. I'll try that tomorrow.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, steak in one hand, chocolate in the other, yelling "Holy F***, What a Ride!"

      • Thanks!
I have several curry/ Indian/ Thai cooking cookbooks, Kuno. Collected over the years, usually from the clearance rack. Want me to type it up?

            • Subz Saag Gosht
1/3 c oil (ghee, butter, lard, etc...)
              2 tsp cumin seeds
              2 tsp cloves (whole)
              2 large onions, finely chopped
              1.75 oz ginger root, minced
              1.5 oz garlic, minced
              2 tsp red chili powder
              1 tsp turmeric
2 tsp salt (optional, I think I used a half dose)
2.25 lb lamb (calls for leg, I used breast), cut into 1" cubes
4 jalapenos, slit (I cut mine into 1/8s lengthwise)
4 oz each of turnips and carrots (roughly 2 of each), cut into 1/2" cubes
1.25 c water or lamb stock
              7 oz tomatos (I used 3 romas)
              14 oz spinach, finely chopped

Heat the oil in a decent sized pan (my wok was only barely big enough and that's my biggest frying pan) and add cumin seeds and cloves. When they start popping (almost instantaneously here), add the onions. Saute the onions until a light golden color. Add the garlic and ginger and saute for 2-3 minutes, until the garlic starts changing color (1-2 min here)
Add the chili powder, turmeric, and salt and cook until fragrant. Add the lamb and brown the lamb (5-6 min). Add the jalapenos, turnips, and carrots and stir. Add the liquid. Reduce heat to a simmer, cover (we have to use an old pizza pan as the cover to the wok), and cook until lamb is mostly done (this stage is more for the turnips and carrots to get soft.)
Remove the lid, add the tomatoes, and cook until the tomatoes vanish into the sauce, approx. 10- 15 min. Add in the spinach, cook until spinach is done. Serve.

By the way, "Serves 4" my ear. These recipes serve closer to six. It only serves 4 if they're all absolutely starving and eat like horses.

I can almost smell it! I need to start to take notes and just collect a recipe folder, or something, for easy reference!

                            • LMAO. Just 'cause I'm too lazy to pull out the camera on my phone, I swear. If I eat a bowl of it today (which I most likely will), I'll try to get a photo. I guess it's good to be the literotica source, though, 'cause my presentation is usually shit.

                              • Holy shit, this is even better than I thought!!!! The company looking at hiring me is a consulting firm based out of Andrews, literally a competitor to the one here in town. Even better, it's a SMALL company (maybe 15 people, which is pretty damn small for an engineering firm.) EVEN BETTER, the recruiter let slip that it's the company founder looking at hiring me to eventually replace him as head of the company. HOW COOL IS THAT???!!!!! I know this company, they do quality work. I've never had an issue with any of their drainage reports and the plat reviewer never had any issue with them either. Too fucking cool!
