    Good morning, dodger! Peeking around your place, here - gotta do the geography thing, as I don't know where the Lake District is.

    I can get to Lake Erie in about 2-1/2 hours driving. Awesome, awesome thing you have done with your health.

      WOW, just read your success story and forwarded to this site and am so impressed. I am 55 and weigh 184lbs so have about 40 to lose. Always making excuses blaming my health problems and the meds I take for the weight increase, never my lifestyle. Have downloaded Marks primal blueprints and am starting now. Thank you CarbDodger for the inspiration.

        100 lbs in 100 days? Amazing. Walking 8 miles a day for the whole 100 days? What was diet consistent of? Paleo? any alcohol? Do you have any youtube videos?

          well its been a year although it seems longer somehow- like I've lived this life forever!
          my cancer remains in remission
          i now weigh 126lbs- finally lost a bit of boob.
          fasting BG around 5. postprandial around 6, HbA1c 7s is under 6
          Total Cholesterol/HDL ratio is around 2
          HDL/LDL ratio is around 1.
          triglycerides/HDL ratio is around 1
          my life is good
          When I'd had enough of the grain and starched based 'diabetic eating for health' diet (eating for health, my ass!) my weight was 242.5 lbs. On starting primal- 18th April 2013 weight : 238.1.
          27th July 2013. weight after 100 days 136.9 weight lost 101.2lb ; that's 105.6lbs since I stopped the 'diabetic eating for health'
