Today I completed my 14th consecutive day without one cheat! I'm really happy about that. I even walked today just because I wanted to. I haven't lost weight in several days, but I'll take a 3 pound a week loss. My clothes are looser, and I think I've lost a couple of inches off my waist. My knees didn't hurt today, and overall I felt really good. Makes me wonder why I ever want to eat bread. Oh, and my nose has quit running when I eat. What's that about?
Day 14: Primal Food Intake Today:
B: Coffee w/cream; Bacon & local eggs
S: Pork rinds & a little pimento cheese, 2 Brazil nuts
L: The snack was lunch since we were out until 2:30.
D: BGE Smoked chicken with cabbage sautéed in bacon grease.
On the eve of my 21st day of the 21 day Primal challenge, I feel like I've done pretty well. If nothing else, I've stayed 100% off grains for the duration. My knees don't hurt, and overall I feel really good. What's not to like? My biggest problem right now is eating enough food because I'm so satisfied.
Day 20: Primal Food Intake Today:
B: Coffee w/cream
L: Roast, spinach, steamed cabbage, green beans. Not good because it was at a restaurant.
D: BGE Locally grown Ribeye steak--cold leftovers with pesto; roasted Brussels sprouts, my fav!
Not much walking--just around Costco & a little in the neighborhood.
Today marks my 21st day of Primal living, and I'm so happy with it that I'm extending it to 30. This hasn't been hard as far as food consumption goes, and I've improved in the movement category. Tomorrow I'll post the final weight & inches loss results. I'm happy!
Wow. To say I'm happy with the results of the 21 day Transformation would be an understatement for sure. I've lost 10 pounds, but more amazingly in the last 2 weeks (I didn't measure the first week), I've lost 3 inches off my waist & 4 inches off my gut. I also bought a size smaller jeans. I'm amazed!
Today, I walked a mile, slung a kettlebell 10 times, and toted a case of water across the parking lot until a student took it off my hands. I'm impressed with myself that I made it as far as I did with it.
Now let's consider that case of water--I calculated the weight of it in my office, and it was 35 pounds. THIRTY-FIVE POUNDS! It was heavy. Um, I'm picking up the equivalent of 3 of them and hauling them around on my body. Every. Single. Day. All day long.
If someone tried to make me pick up that much weight and haul it around, I'd tell them to take a flying leap--that they were crazy. Yet here I have been picking it up of my own volition without one complaint. How stupid can I be?
Well, no more. This tonnage is getting kicked to the curb. I've had it.
My knees can't take it anymore.
I will be light on my feet again.
As for today's food, here it is:
B: Coffee, cream, bacon, eggs
L: Chicken, avocado, boiled egg
S: Dark chocolate salted macadamia nut (made at home); 2 Brazil nuts
D: Wing night w/sauce & slaw
Oh, and someone gave me 5 stars on this blog. Thanks! (Even though I don't know what that means.)
