      • Oh dear, spent the whole morning trying on clothes and have not settled on something to wear for this wedding. The one that looked best was a mere $350 which is well beyond my budget, but not only that it's exACtly the same blue that my last three dresses have been. No one will even believe I bought something new if I wear that.

There were a couple of other options, not quite as dressy and all too loose in the bust - which I suppose is nothing that can't be fixed by the old chicken-filets-in-the-bra trick. But I don't love them that much.

I thought of one more shop to try but it's closed for the weekend, I'll have to wait till Monday morning. If no luck there I might have to haul out the sewing machine and get busy.

        B: skipped.
L: A boiled egg, a plum, two choc-banana pancakes with blueberry jam and whipped cream, six slices of cucumber with cheese.

        • S: Plum, hardboiled egg, cheese and marmite, carrot sticks, two tiny apples.
D: Lasagne without the lasagne. Blueberries and mango for dessert.

The chocolate and raisins are still in their packets

I love that. I call it the best part of the lasagna. I never miss the pasta.

            • Ladies where do I find the recipe for the lasagne without the lasagne?

              Thanks

              • Linki, I just made normal lasagne for the family i.e. meat sauce, pasta sheets, cheese sauce layered together in the roasting dish. I just made the pasta not quite reach the edge of the dish so that I could serve myself only meat, while everyone else had pasta too. I didn't get much cheese sauce either, but I could have if I'd wanted to. Sometimes I use a layer of silver beet or potato instead of pasta. Just get creative

Thanks Annie, I did the same with spagetti bolognaise today for the family.

Do you consider cheese part of the 20% and does the 80/20 split mean 80 Paleo/ 20 non-Paleo or 80 fat/protein and 20 carbs (and everything else)?

I guess cream is not allowed either?

                  Thanks for your patience.

                  • Primal Blueprint is a less strict version of paleo and - to my way of reading, thinking and eating - cheese is allowed.

80/20 split means different things to different people. For me it's 80% primal, 20% anything else e.g. processed and packaged items, seed oils, flour and other grains, sugar, legumes etc. I actually aim for closer to 100% and just use the 20% allowance for unavoidable lapses such as when I have to compromise when eating out or when I genuinely feel like a treat that is non primal such as a home baked cookie by my daughter. Even my bacon and ham fall in this category as they have additives. As would peanut butter if I use it.

I hope this helps. You will have to decide what works for you. When starting out I pretty much stuck with eggs, meat and veges, with some fruit, nuts and dairy. And that is what I am doing right now in order to burn up a bit of fat I don't want any more.

L: Ham, eggs, salad with carrot, lettuce, cucumber, avocado and cheese. A plum.
S: Two hardboiled eggs, carrot sticks, a tiny apple, cheese and Marmite.

D: making butter chicken to take to a family dinner.

Went sailing with my dh. Bumped my head on the boom.

                      • For dinner I had:

Several slices of roast beef, a couple of lamb chops, a couple of crumbed squid rings, small serving of butter chicken; homegrown fresh beans, broccoli, new potatoes and a little gravy (probably packet). Passed on desert of lemon meringue pie, marble cake and ice-cream, but just ate a strawberry.

Everyone loved my no-knead artisan bread but I had no more than a nibble just to check it was ok.

Given a box of chocolates today - unfortunately they are my favourites. I will leave them wrapped as long as possible, then I will try to share them with as many as possible.

                        • Found my dress. Something similar to this : MARINA Mixed Lace Sheath Dress (Regular & Petite) | Nordstrom

but with less lace i.e. sleeveless, and no lace in the skirt.
