  • Starting Over - 30 day challenge

    I did great on the first 15 days of my PB challenge and was amazed at how my blood sugar and IBS was so much better. I got off track when I got the flu. The problem I have is planning meals. It takes a little organization and planning ahead to stay primal because in this small town I am in we don't have a lot of restaurant choices and the ones we do have are no where near primal. I also have to avoid raw veggies and salads for now because they bother the stomach. That limits me even more. I do have some new grain free cookbooks that I am going to try and I am going to work on planning and preparing lunches ahead of time to bring to work with me. I also started my vegetable garden so hopefully I will be eating fresh organic veggies from my own back yard before long.

    I went to the doctor yesterday for my annual check-up and my doctor told me whatever I'd been doing to keep doing it because it was working great. My blood pressure, weight and cholesterol was all down and my blood sugar good and no more IBS problems. I have not been strictly on the primal blueprint for the past week but have tried to stay close to it. I have continued to stay off most grains and soft drinks.

        Yesterday April 27th was my first official starting over day for my second 30 days.

        Tuna in water
        tea- unsweet

        baked fish
        green beans
        tea - unsweet

        Dinner
        tea - unsweet
        pork chops
        sauteed mushrooms

        Snacks
        Banana - raw
        handful of pecans
