  • Hold your breath, get ready to jump...

    Well, here we go...

    I've been reading Mark's Daily Apple all year, bought the blueprint, and believed every word he said from a logical stand point. But that's the thing, isn't it? Choosing a burger and chips over fish and salad isn't exactly a logical choice...

    Once upon a time, I was a boxer. A welterweight in my teens, who grew into a middleweight in my early twenties. Along came college, and a girl. Always a girl, and as much as she opened my eyes to the beauty of life, her bad habits (She didn't even wake to an alarm! Just slept in till she woke naturally!) became mine.

    Cue soft drinks, corn chips, late night take away, tons of chocolate, icecream, and small doses of alcohol.

    Fast forward through the years and I've trained less and less, parted ways with the girl, and kept those habits, with my weight creeping up on me, my natural lean fighters frame drowning in the fat, and the once energetic disciplined nature a thing of the past.

    Now, I am 28 years old, five foot ten, and 211 pounds - a whopping 46 pounds since my fighting days.

    As most of you probably have, I too tried a variety of diets, training like a mad man a month or two, always slipping back to the comfort of coca cola and corn chips.

    But now, I've had enough.

    The highlight of my weeks comes with the weekly success story Mark always brings.

    This time around, I'm determined, with all of your help, to write one of my own.

    Today is day one. Thank you all for reading.

    Start Date: 25-06-12 @ 161lbs
    Goal Reached: 30-09-12 @ 143lb. Now bouncing between 145lb - 149lb. I'd like less bounce and more consistency :-)

    Started Cross Fit 20.12.12 ---- Can't wait to submit my success story on the 1st anniversary of starting primal.
