Today there was a BBQ/potluck thing at work for lunch. Aside from the typical grain laden crap, there was a full table of desserts, thankfully none of which looked even moderately tempting. There was pumpkin pie, but I have some tins of pure pumpkin puree in the pantry which I plan to use for a pudding of sorts in the near future. I always used to love good pie crust more than most of the fillings, but now it doesn't seem like a food to me.
B: coffee with coconut milk
S: 2 slices bacon, piece of beef jerky
L: 2 thin burger patties (no fillers, 100% beef, according to the box) topped with salsa and boursin cheese, some broccoli/cauli salad with bacon (yay) and a likely bottled dressing, quite a few chunks of assorted cheese, some raw veg, 2 grapes and a few strawberries. Not bad, considering.
D: wild caught (by a friend) British Columbia salmon, pan fried in olive oil with a touch of salt & pepper, topped with lemon butter & fresh dill, sauteed garlic spinach, last of the leftover roasted brussel sprouts with bacon. Wish we had been given more salmon!!
Had contemplated a walk after work, ended up getting grouchy with the kids and took a brief nap on the sofa instead. Considering the sleep lately, perhaps that was the better choice. Getting maybe 6 hours nightly this week. I sleep fine, it's just that I have to by up before 6am for work, and don't drag my sorry ass to bed early. I love sleep! I get more when I have to be away from home for business, funny. I also managed to get in a good hour of homework tonight, too.
