Well, if you've been doing 80/20 since December and been a bit active as well it might be that you're not loosing weight because you're gaining lean body mass at the same time as you're loosing fat. Whip out that old measuring tape and you'll see you have a different experience. I've stopped loosing and now I am gaining. Still loosing centimetres off of my waist.

Local farmers market and the equivalent is the best source for meat. You can get the cut you want and generally the quality of the meat is much, much higher. Whenever I want to treat myself with some good stuff I always go to the local butcher.

Slept pretty well tonight, but again with the kids in the morning. Oh, why! do they have to get up so early and not have the decency to let the old man sleep? During the week I have to drag them out of bed because they sleep longer in the week than in the weekends. What gives?! Oh, well. Anyhow - I managed to stay outside during the few sunny spells, and even had my t-shirt off to get some wanted sun on my body. Washed my beloved old 1985 Mercedes Benz 190E. I'm trying to keep it in as good condition as I can. For a 25 year old car it's amazingly good, in many respects better than many modern cars I've tried.

      Food
Grub was good today. Three eggs and 150 grams bacon for breakfast, and I went on that until around three in the afternoon at which point I had sirloin and also pork ribs - the same piece of meat as bacon, only thicker and juicier. Later on I had some almonds and dark chocolate. I need to up my water intake though. Haven't been good with that lately.

      Supplements
      1000 mg Multivitamin
      1500 mg Superba Krill Oil
      800 IU D Vitamin

      Training
Was working in the garden as well as washing my car, so I guess that was it for training today. Wish I could do more training.

      Random Thoughts
It's about time for a new progression picture, but I cannot see any real progression except that my weight has gone up with about 2 kg the last month. At this point I am not sure if it is fat or muscles, or a little bit of both. Come june 1st I'll re evaluate. My abs feels a little bit more defined, and my thigh muscles a bit larger. My jeans are getting tight over the knees. I'll do another InBody 720 analysis as well.

      Thanks for reading!

      • Hey SG, glad you're well. Hope you find the right 'added fat' component for your own homeostatis. For me, it's not much.

Thanks cillakat - must be the sun doing it. Actually with the 'added fat' component is far beyond what I thought was possible at my age and stage of obesity. I'd basically given up and going primal, at first low carb, was the last straw. Now, I am at the same weight as in my early adolescence, but with a whole different body composition. It feels great. My four year old even commented it here the other day as she was touching my biceps "Daddy got big muscles."

Again I slept well this night, but woke up early and didn't feel rested at all - pressed the snooze button a lot of times. :S Got in for work pretty late and got some snide remarks. Again I have the feelings of not belonging there and the want to move on and find something more substantial to work with. My work consists of sitting on my ass watching over computers, fixing problems as they arise, and lately it hasn't been a mental challenge to say the least. Whenever things happen I feel like I am two or three steps ahead of the problem all the time and it's getting boring. Ah, well. Not long until vacation comes.

            Food
IF'ed until 15:30 at which point I had not been eating since 22 the night before. Only had three cups of coffee during the day and lots of water. Didn't feel hungry at all. The meal at 15:30 was lamb stew made from the ground up with bone marrow bones, and lots of good stuff in it. I am going to ask for the recipe tomorrow. I then went to work out and when I came home I fired up the grill and had grill ribs and pork chops. Tasty! Haven't had much vegetables lately, kind of bored with it and it doesn't fill me up quite as much as fat and meat does. Have had a couple of strawberries and apples later and two squares of 86% chocolate in a bowl and added heavy whipping cream. I also had a handful of cashews. Now I have a good and relaxed feeling in my tummy.

            Training
Did Stronglifts 5 x 5 program A today. I am up to 70 kg on the ass to ground squats, and 42,5 kg on the bench press - both feeling easy and in control. Seems like the heavier the squat weights get the easier it is to do them with proper form. An entirely different matter with the deadlifts. I might have to back down on the weight on those to get the form right before I proceed. Don't want to injury my back on a wrong lift. I struggle with keeping my shoulders back and keep rounding my back. :/

When I came home from the gym I mowed the lawn tossing the t-shirt in the progress. A nice sunny evening with about 20 degrees C in the shade. Worked up a nice sweat on the mowing, so I guess that counts for moving slowly about.

            Random Thoughts
Blank today, well - not blank, but not much to share except that some people at work annoys the hell out of me, and I guess the only way out is to wear a headset or maybe I'll try something new tomorrow: If the weather is nice I am going to take my laptop with me and go work outside in the sun.

            Thanks for reading!

                • All in my tummy now, except the breastpieces - saving them for a BAS.

The meat was juicy and the skin was crisp like potatochips. I can only wholeheartedly recommend spatchcocking chicken, and as I told my significant other - from now on it's grill season all year round. The meat just turns out fantastic each time.

Slept well, but woke early. Going to bed even earlier today I think.

                    Food
See above! Dang, it was nomtastic - just absolutely blew my mind when I took the first bite. Other than the chicken I had IF for breakfast, then 16 chicken wings for lunch plus four squares of chocolate for lunch. When I came home from work and before I prepared the nomtastic chicken, I had five or six strawberries. Going to IF until lunch now.

No training today, a bit sorish from yesterday, but nothing that I notice unless I am trying to notice it.

I still regret selling my 1986 300E. A neighbor at my last house bought it from me and still uses it as his daily driver to and from work. Pisses me off really, that I sold it to him instead of keeping it. The new models suck in comparison.

They are bulletproof, that is for sure. Well, unless you abuse them. I bought mine from an old man that bought it new in 1985. When I got it it had 60,000 km (37,280 us miles) on the odometer, now it has 115,000 (71400 us miles). I use it as my daily commute to and from work each day, and have only let me down once. It was 25C (- 13 F) degrees below zero, and I thought I had checked everything before winter. Everything except the alternator on the generator. The brushes were worn down and at 25 below the generator wasn't charging. Very cold experience and I had to have a friend tow the car back home. With no heater. Brrrrr!

Thanks Greg - it is in mint condition. No rust, but a small dent on the right door. The worst problem of the car is that it hasn't been driven too much before I got it so all the rubber thingies in the underbody is cracked and dry. I am planning a major overhaul on the undercarriage this year. I have to change dampers and springs, also some rubber gaskets and possibly I will change the valve stem gaskets as it is using a bit more oil than I would like. They are probably dried out after 25 years. Other than that it is as new. It is a fantastic car - and I secretly refer to it as "White Lady"

Slept well tonight, but got up early at 5:30. Too early, because I wanted to get back into bed again. Alas, I had to get up to set my motorbike so I could get it serviced and I also had to work out before I went to work. Not so sure now it was a wise idea, because the guys that were to pick up the bike never came. :/ Sucks.

                              Food
Breakfast was a banana and a protein bar right after training. Then at lunch there was some lamb stew and a BAS. For dinner I had leftovers from the spatchcocked chicken last night. It doesn't show on the image, but I also added some Roquefort - blue cheese, to the side of the plate and I was so happy because it was very tasty. I've missed that cheese - and finding that it is just as suitable on meats as on bread is fantastic! Next I will try it on beef.

For some dessert I had 6 - 7 strawberries with heavy whipping cream and sprinkled with 86% chocolate.

                              Training
Did StrongLifts 5 x 5 program B today, I am now up to 72,5 kg squats, 90 kg deadlift, 45 kg over head press and the pull-ups/chin-ups are a biatch, but I manage to squeeeze out around 10-12 depending. The 3 x 30 second planks I've increased to 3 x 60 seconds. Maybe I should add some weight instead. Thoughts?

Nothing much to speak of today, except that I wish people could keep appointments. I'd arranged for the bike to be picked up and fueled it, charged the batteries, checked the tyre inflation etc. Then they don't show and I have to call them up to ask where they were. Then they remembered that they should pick up the bike.

                              Arghle!

I prob have lost some of the fat as my SO complimented my thighs look looser in my jeans. So that's huge.

Am getting to where I want to be. Just am learning some lessons on the way!

Going to have to try the chicken that Mark posted. So yours turned out great? I see something like that this weekend. Having a BBQ and I think the friends will like that!
