    So I'm Jasmine and I guess this is my journal about losing pregnacy weight and controlling t2 diabetes.

    Height: 5'3"
    Starting weight: 140lbs
    BMI: 24.8

    Goal Weight: 120lbs

    Dream Weight 110lbs

    Intro:

    I had a baby boy 4 months ago. I gained 40lbs during pregnancy & I had gestational diabetes.

    After having my baby I ate.....junk. I had a blood test 3 months later and discovered I had t2 diabetes.

    Before getting pregnant I was a vegetarian for 3 years. I think that's what lead me to high blood sugar coz I was getting a v low fat, next to no protein, high carb diet.

    I have been Primal for 1 month. I decided to start this journal because I haven't lost any weight & I feel really crappy overall. I really need advice and support.

      Hi. Just checking in, and will read your journal.

      So far I just am on a pill, but I need to get the diabetes under control. I sure don't want to do insulin. Good luck to you!
      Start Date 9.24.12
      Starting weight 285ish ( scale is acting funny so I don't trust it, but 285 is close )
      CW - 271 pounds
      First Goal - 255 by 2013
      Main Goal - To be healthy for my family... I have an awesome family.
      Other Goal - to get off some medications
      Final goal - to get to about 180 pounds by 2014
      NEW GOAL - When I can start a new journal called "Your dad is not so fat!"

        Day 1

        B: Bacon, omelet, c.cheese

        No Lunch

        D: Almond Tilapia, avocado, greens, red wine

        S: 2 pieces dark choc, cheese, tea with cream

        1 hr brisk walk

        I didn't have lunch coz I was out and about today & didn't have time.

        I didn't really want to eat any snacks, but I couldn't stop thinking about food! All I wanted was the dark choc! I think I should eat lunch tomorrow and try not to eat the snacks. I had mustard with my fish (not too primal I don't think) Here's a pic of brekkie & dinner:

            @PP yeh insulin was a pain to inject. I actually haven't been to the dr coz I don't want to be on insulin.

            I've actually been eating pretty primal for a month & my symptoms have already decreased: less peeing, less thirst, less skin dryness (still pretty tired though)

                  No snacks!!!! Hoooray!! First time ever!

                  Glad that my weight has come down BUT I've lost and gained the same 2 lbs for a month so won't be ecstatic until down to 137lbs or my jeans fit better.

                      Day 3

                      B: Bacon, c.cheese, omelet (hmm too much bacon I think)

                      L: Tandoori chicken, salad, red wine

                      D: Flank steak, salad, mushroom sauce

                      S: Piece of cheddar, 2 squares dark chocolate, red wine

                      I had a snack!! Grrr I wasn't even hungry! I was just bored. Not tomorrow. I have a feeling I gained more weight coz I feel a bit bloated.

                      I think dairy makes me bloat, but it's soooo good. I will cut dairy starting October (whole30)

                          @PP it just records what I ate/nutrients/kcal/exercise. It helps me keep track of how many carbs I'm eating. Us diabetics have to stay lower than others unfortunately.

                              The chicken was proper easy - I just bought Pataks Tandoori paste, marinaded the chicken in a couple of tablespoons of it and put it in the oven for 30 mins.

                              I usually make everything from scratch but couldn't be bothered yesterday afternoon coz baby was going a bit nuts.
