I know it isnt always easy when you feel you need a training partner and no one will volunteer. training buddies can and are a blessing and a curse.

For daily activities, google 'monthly kettlebell challenges' (as I know you are thinking of investing in one). This requires a little work everyday, get the endorphins flowing without demanding hours of your time.

A Kettlebell, skipping rope, and bodyweight exercises and you have soooo many options.

Still looking into the kettlebell, only monthly challenge I really read into was the 10,000 swings by the end of the month. Did watch some videos on form. Still researching.

      B - 2 poached eggs , banana, a little almond butter
L - big helping of rump roast left over from crock pot, apple (seems to be a fruit day)
S - pickles dipped in hummus (not sure why but I loved it!)
D- lots of asparagus & big chunk of turkey tenderloin
---more protein than I needed, but, I'm gettin there.

NOT my best created body work out routine - looked like a lot when I wrote it down, but was disappointed at the end-

      Work Out-

Warm up - slow 10 min jog
      A. 24 air squats
      B. 6 elevated push ups
      C. 24 forward lunge
      D. 12 push ups
      E. 24 back lunge
      F. 12 dips
      G. 45 sec. plank
      H. 20 jumping jacks

      3 x
      time : 13 min. 20 sec.
Just for fun - threw a heavy rock for 8 min ( really got my heart going)

Will be going back to a different body weight routine, maybe adding more reps, feel as though my arms have gotten a lot stronger.

last night -late night snack- popcorn, meh

          B- 2 eggs, spinach
L- Smoothie (frozen cherries, strawberries, and blue berries, some whey, almond milk)
D- Out to dinner with the Parents -- Romaine salad with blackened chicken fresh blue berries, walnuts, feta cheese and a blueberry vinaigrette dressing ( I think the dressing was home made, it was very nice)

          Work out:
25 min variation of cardio and dumb bell weights
          10 min rowing machine

          Other activity:
          2 mile walk with family
short jog to rec. center to enjoy the steam room

Excited, my pull-ups are getting a lot better and stronger
Disappointed, weight is higher than I'd like (130 lb)
Also I noticed all of the hummus I ate seemed to have a positive impact on my digestive system yippie

Well done on the exercise front. the food looks better as well.

Dont worry at all about what the scale says. how do you feel within yourself/In your clothes/In the mirror? The scales do not take into consideration fat lost, muscle gained and with all your activity and healthy eating id say your dropping fat and increasing muscle.

              Thats a good thing.

Thanks Richard, I am feeling pretty good. I even slept really well last night, big plus. I feel ok when I look at myself, I guess. I think it will just take some time.

                Work out:
                morning - 1 hour walk
                evening - 1 hour walk
was feeling sore today and thought I would take it easy with some slow movement

                Food:
B - Pork chop, steamed broccoli (cleaning out the frige)
L - salad with turkey, some black berries
                s - handful almonds
D - pork chop, a ton of raw veggies
s - heated up almond milk with pumpkin and cinnamon, splash of honey

                * I think it should be illegal for people to dress their homes in BLINKING/Flashing christmas lights, hazardous to drivers and simply annoying ... oh well

Yaaaay I see protein at every meal, great veggies and snacks. Dont be afraid to add more fat in. If you read around the boards when is increased weight loss seems to increase as well. Remember a tea spoon of olive oil over that steamed broccoli wouldnt alter the taste but it would add about 100 calories of good fat. Something to think about.

Haha about the blinking lights. Im surprised there arent more planes landing on peoples streets given home some neighbourhoods are lit up.

Haha yay is right, I do feel pretty good about my choices yesterday. I think I will stick to a similar eating lay out but just switch things around like the type of meat ect. annnd I will work on adding in the good fats your support is definitely encouraging!

                    Mid morning work out:
Warm up - slow 10 min. jog

                    3 times through
                    a. 25 sec bear crawl
                    b. 15 box jumps
                    c. 15 burpees w/ push ups
                    d. 20 side lunges
                    e. 20 squats
                    f. ab exercises (1. leg lifts 2. plank 3. twisting plank
                    g. 15 dips

cool down - 20 min. walk

This definitely kicked my butt, had to take a few 15-20 second breathers. By the third round I was starting to slip on my form and really slow down. By far the best way I have ever procrastinated studying for finals!

Going to go make a turkey tenderloin for lunch...

sigh, today I did not make good food choices. I went way over board what I should have eaten... kinda got into a binge. At first I tried to keep my urge to eat primal, I made a warm almond milk drink because that is usually very comforting, and I next had a sweet potato and beef jerky..... I left the apartment thinking it would help get my mind off food and I would do some christmas shopping. Instead I found myself buying frozen yogurt and eating chocolate covered marshmallows as well. I did not get a good night sleep last night so I am sure that did not help. Again, sigh.

I figured up I probably ate some where around 3,500 - 3,800 calories today mhhm
I am going to make myself a cup of tea, and maybe hop in the shower to recover from my icky feast. I think I will be ok as long as I jump right back in tomorrow with a good day. I am sad this happened but as long as I get out of the cycle that I had today with food, then all will be fine woofta

                      work out:
a.m 1 hour brisk walk ( for some reason I have not felt like running lately, which is strange for me)

anxieties - Hosting an ugly Christmas sweater party Friday, finals are coming up, project due tomorrow that I should be working on right now...

I was looking stuff up about The Tough Mudder when I came upon this clip. After a bad day it is certainly a motivational video -- success, you have to want it as badly as you want to breath---. There are two parts, about 10 min. total but I feel like this could really be applied not only to physical goals but also other things we are working towards in our lives. I really enjoyed this, so much that I felt the need to post it so I can refer to it later on.

Hey Hey I survived the day. Did not eat a ton as I was not very hungry. Had a big salad for lunch, some beef jerky today, I am sure I am missing a few other snacks here and there. But I am feeling great now. I think that junk is starting to get out of my system.

Very excited for tomorrow evenings ugly christmas sweater party. I am making an extremely non primal treat for my guest, Apple Pie Drink -- apple cider, apple juice, sugar, cinnamon sticks boiled. let cool and add ever-clear

Trying to decide what I want to do for a work out tomorrow... I have plenty of time during the day, so maybe a couple of different activities? a jog, some weights, racquet ball... who knows

                            Work out:
                            25 min. cardio/dumbbell weight routine
some core work and additional light jogging & burpees

Breakfast - piece of home made beef jerky, warm almond milk with pumpkin and cinnamon spice
Lunch - Ground beef with tomato sauce, salad, kiwi
dinner - ? yet to be eaten. probably keep it light

Success, I truly do feel I am getting stronger- my cardio is so-so. I am not in the cardio shape like when I could go out and run 9 miles but I don't huff and puff up the front steps either

I would like to get my cardio a little stronger but do it while doing body weight exercises. I just have not had the excitement go jog like I use to so I need to find new, fun, creative ways for this... I should probably try playing more (racquet ball, tennis, basketball. maybe rock climbing ?)

                            college calls, off to class

Last night consisted of wine, cheese, cocktail meatballs, more cheese, and beer. It was fun, but I do not need another one of those evenings for a while. Thinking I took in a lot of salt, I feel bloated and overall sluggish. Now I work all day.

Tonight will more than likely (and hopefully) be me snuggled up on the couch watching cheezy Christmas shows and doing my laundry as I procrastinate getting school work done and studying for finals. Sunday will turn around and I plan to do school work and get a healthy dose of movement in.
