  • lol.... you two are hillarious!

Kind of a rainy day. Took the tractor to a friends house to disc up her garden. Will have to take the tiller over to finish the job in a day or two, once it dries out a bit.....

Ran some errands. Got to bed about 4pm..... got up at 8pm... no rest for the wicked... it's gonna be a loooooooong night!

I've worked with people who kip on the desk - in an open plan office.
I like badgers, books and booze, more or less in that order.

I'm guessing "kip" means nap or sleep..... I could do that, but I would drool all over the desk calendar/blotter... messy thing that..

In Blighty, Northerners kip, but pansy Southerners (I am one) nap.

Sorta - I'd say anything Manchester or above is The North. Anything between the Home Counties and Manchester is the Midlands (despised by top and bottom) and Home Counties down equals The South. However, the West is different again - Somerset and so on.

Absolutely! Huge North-South divide in London. When I met the husband I was a North-West London girl, but we moved East and then South (East and South are both poorer, East End = trad Cockney; Sarf London = labourer).

                        • I went to London in the late 80's.... had a good time, though I was only there for one day. Would loved to have had more time to roam and do the "tourist" thing.... maybe some day I can do back and quaf an ale and enjoy some bangers and mash!
