Quote of the day (background - at home we sing grace before dinner):

My dd : "Sometimes I can hardly sing, my mouth is watering so much."

My dh: "That happens to me too."

Me: Glows with satisfaction and strengthens resolve to convert them fully to eating Real Food.

And the dinner that had them drooling tonight? Pork with crackling and apple sauce, roasted winter vegetables. Delicious.

Sure, I can be in charge of taking the plastic off the pork roast and putting it in the oven. Nothing to it.

Or maybe you wanna try my gloopy neck chops?? Actually I had another go at them today, they have been reflavoured and renamed Middle Eastern Lamb. It was tasty and looked a LOT more appetising than last time, haha.

Had a spectacular three-hour tramp today - white mountain, blue sky, icy tussock grass sparkling in the sun.

It was a lot of fun, nothing like being knee deep in soft snow on a beautiful spring day.

I like badgers, books and booze, more or less in that order.

Although when my dh picked up his lunchbox today, he said rather doubtfully, Is this what we had last night? I have to laugh.

Really, it still doesn't look great, however he ate two helpings yesterday so I'm sure by the time he heats it up at lunchtime, it will again be edible.

Love your menu Annie. Do you have a recipe for the butter chicken? It's one of my favourite foods, but I usually just pick up a jar, so I'm expecting it to be too full of sugar now.

I'm looking forward to the day I can say I have no more weight to lose, but mostly looking forward to getting my energy levels up.
