I think I questioned his manhood.

Speaking of which, I've had really back luck on the train the last two days. Yesterday was an old boy who couldn't quite leave himself alone. Not quite enough to be a problem, but still more than I wanted to sit opposite. Today was a rather silly young gent whose trousers were so tight we all knew which way he dressed - nb if you are going to wear snug trousers sit with your legs together rather than splayed out. It looked painful - crushing - truth be told.
I like badgers, books and booze, more or less in that order.

Zealots, hey, sounds like right star turn....not....A seacow, presume that was for some perceived insult or other....
Apparently said knucklehead has no idea what a seacow is.... From what I can tell, our dear BG looks nothing like a manatee....

        • Perhaps if you've been on a very long (porn-free) voyage it's an easy mistake to make. Ah TS Eliot...you didn't really like women either, did you?

I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.

I do not think that they will sing to me.

I have seen them riding seaward on the waves
Combing the white hair of the waves blown back
When the wind blows the water white and black.

We have lingered in the chambers of the sea
By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown
Till human voices wake us, and we drown.

The joys of public transport, open to the personage who it should be shut to!

            • It's coming back to me... He said he'd looked at my profile and I was a seacow. Now, I'm many things and not everyone's cup of tea, but the photos on my profile are me and do not resemble any kind of marine animal, or mermaid even. He's a grade-A fruitloop. I reported him for the creepiness because people do put up pics of themselves in their undies and what have you when they are trying to lose weight and the last thing they need is some git slagging them off.

I prefer my port to come out of a bottle. Ah, we've all pulled a few unfortunates in our time.

I am reminded of the poor stammering chap who confessed he was a virgin to which I replied (sorry, sorry poor chap, but it was true) I wasn't planning on having sex with him. Ah, I really didn't have much in the way of quality control. Good job I married young really.

No navel experience to speak of, but I'd imagine after months at sea any self respecting sailor could part the hair on a barbers shop floor, to quote a phrase....
