  • As usual slept poorly (1st night in hotel). Getting moving earlier than usual - good thing about going from CST to MST. Getting ready to get moving. Love being able to catch up on everything while drinking coffee and watching news in the morning. I've never been a "morning" person - just can't bounce out of bed and go. Hoping to finish off skills early and work on some paperwork this afternoon.

    • Slept about 6 hours deep < light . Will get some eggs and bacon with coffee for breakfast. Meeting from 8-12. Then I've got two people to interview for my research. A paper to review. Quick dinner and then night clinic. It will not hurt my feelings if we close up an hour early! Hoping to sleep in a bit tomorrow. Need to work on my homework tomorrow before I teach my 8 hour class - which I'm hoping finishes a bit early.

      • Long day. Just got in from night clinic. Productive day of meetings and interviews. Tomorrow I've got to write a paper and teach for 8 hours.

        • Slept okay. My UP is dead, so don't know breakdown. Put in a work request. Funny how I got used to looking at it to see how I slept. I feel like light>deep sleep and maybe 6 total. I'm procrastinating getting in the shower to get ready to go. I walked so much yesterday that my legs are tired. Okay off to start the day!

          • 8 hour class finished in 2 - no complaints from any of us! Students did a fantastic job on presentations. Worked on paper with "breaks" to work on syllabus for fall. Short nap. Ribeye MR, Cesar salad, baked potato with butter and sour cream, Malbec, and cheesecake for dinner. Well worth the banana for lunch!

              • Ended up taking an easy day. Huge breakfast of omlet and bacon. Short nap. Read most of the day. Cheese, veggies, and wine while watching TV tonight.

                • Glad you're taking an easy day once in a while. As usual your schedule is quite daunting! I think I'm a pretty hard worker, but I couldn't keep up your pace. I hope you are able to enjoy being away for a little while, although maybe it is hard to be away from home.

                  • Thanks Siobhan. It was a good day. I thought I ate fairly clean, but was up with tummy issues off and on all night. I had to cancel meeting my sons for breakfast, because I was exhausted and still had (and have as I'm writing this) an upset tummy. Unfortunately, you can ask and explain, but when you are not cooking it, you have no real control. I'm making myself uncurl from fetal position, shower, pack, and get to my office for two last meetings before I fly out is evening.

                      • Hope the tummy calms down! I know what you mean about not really knowing what is in stuff. I am always having people tell me that stuff is gluten-free and then when I ask more, they actually have no idea. "But I bought it at Whole Foods!" is a common response. Ummm....like everything at Whole Foods is gluten-free...

                                Haven't heard that one yet, but I'm surprised at how many people don't know flour = gluten.
