  • Slept a bit over 7 hours. Have a headache and tummy is upset. Trying to get moving and get to work.

        I hope not. This is a horrific week when feeling well and would be positively undoable if sick! . Tomorrow 8-5 very intense meeting, Wednesday new summer student orientation that I'm popping in and out of around various meetings and ending the day from 5-630pm with students. Thursday meetings in the morning, current students in face to face class 2-6pm, finishing with dinner with 13 students. Friday f2f same students 8-2pm. finishing with nursing honor society induction (mandatory for faculty to attend) 430-6p. Saturday starts with MSN student hooding at 11, but we need to be there at 9. Then I'm hoping a meeting with my PhD chair while we are hanging around for 7pm commencement. Hope to be back at hotel by 10pm. Fly home Sunday. I've blocked Monday to recover!

        • I'd have to block myself a week to recover from that! Eat lots of meat and definitely bacon.

            Unfortunately the bills say I've got to be in the clinic Tuesday! Yup lots of beef and when I eat breakfast - bacon.

            • Slept about 6 hours. Was up at 2 feeling nauseous from drainage. Took a zofran, read a bit, and went back to sleep for a bit. Drinking coffee and getting ready to get in the shower. Today is an 8 hour power meeting. I'm not feeling very powerful, so I'm hoping to just make it through the day. If I'm not totally pooped, I will go out for a steak dinner. Otherwise it will be nibbles in my room like last night.

              • Meeting went well. Dinner of BBQ beef without bun and wine. Getting ready for DWTS and the Voice. Tomorrow dinner with son 1 and DiL. Thursday dinner with students.

                • Crashed for 10 hours. Barely woke up enough to send a text that I wouldn't make 0800 introductions. Getting ready to go to office. Have meeting with students at 5pm, so the early morning was not as important and I feel halfway human again, which is important. More later.

                  • Day from Hell today. One of my students broke her ankle. The operating system for my courses is going crazy and breeding new shells - for 4 courses I've got 32 shells. Two of my students are supposed to start clinicals at a hospital we thought we had an agreement with and now the school is acting like they never heard of them. Oh, and my mother in law needs to go to a long term care facility. My father in law picked one he can't afford, but instead of asking all 7 kids to help, he calls us and asks for $7,000 by tomorrow morning. It's not that I don't want to help, it's the whole fairness issue. If they can afford cruises, then they can help. Okay, I'm done whining about it.

                    • Slept fair - almost 4 hours deep sleep, so probably why I feel less tired than usual. Slow start this morning. Thinking about breakfast and then IF until dinner with students tonight. Probably have things I should be doing, but I left this morning clear to relax. Hoping for a better day.

                        • So FiL never contacted DH for another money request. She was moved to the VA home, since he served in Korean War. Spent about an hour talking to a faculty who is a psych CNS making sure I was reacting well and that what I was feeling was reasonable regarding financial request. We now have 100 days before reimbursement goes to 80%.

                          • These family things are so difficult. My ex is dealing with a similar thing and is racked with guilt about it. He simply can't afford to help out financially and has siblings who are not only much better off financially but are living scot free in homes owned by his mother! Well, hearing about someone else's problems is probably not helpful. But it sounds like it is working out and hopefully will continue to do so.

                            • Slept lousy. Never got to breakfast. Had coffe at the office and a banana. Schedule went to H*** in a hand basket. Banana and coffee for lunch. Finished finally at 330. Feet up waiting to go to dinner in a few. Tomorrow is another long day. Then I get to go home.
