  • My food co-op has those date rolls - so delicious! I have to be careful with those, I could make them the mainstay of my diet! That would be okay if I was crossing the Sahara on a camel.

    You really know how to travel. Reading about your adventures reminds me of when I was a flight attendant. It is so different when you are making a hotel an extension of home as compared to being on vacation. I always enjoyed that, and miss it to some extent.

    • Today was bad sleep and food wise. Someone was slamming their room door over and over at 0500 this morning. I got up, because what else could I do? Nachos and a cookie tonight - bad, bad, bad. Hope to sleep better tonight and eat better tomorrow. Typing this on my new toy - iPad-mini, from work. It's got Suri, so will be interesting.

      • Slept okay last night, not great, but better. Had a great breakfast of eggs with veggies, ham, and cheese with some bacon strips and home fries with my coffee. Working from the hotel room today. Waiting for the books I need to put my courses together. I should have another go at editing a students paper. Will probably work a bit on my homework. Easy day. Thinking steak tonight.

        • No homework, paper edited again, read book, played on new toy. Tastey MR ribeye with onions grilled in butter and a potato smothered in butter and sour cream, croutonless ceaser salad and a lovey Malbec for dinner. Visiting a clinic tomorrow, then to office for paperwork. No dinner plans Wednesday. Thursday dinner with a student and family-surf and turf. Friday late lunch, early dinner with son #3 and significant other before I do night clinic.

          • Slept so-so. Not enough deep sleep. Not hungry. Will make do with coffee, water, and if needed a banana until dinner. Slow start to my morning, last one of this week and none next week.

            • Slept 4 1/2 hours and now I'm up. I know I will be exhausted by the end of the day, but I can't go back to sleep. Interviewing potential students 8-10, then working on shell, 4-6 nurses day celebration, then dinner at students house. It will not be a late night!

              • Admitted 3 more students. I have 27 in this cohort! I won the raffle at the nurses day celebration. I picked the coffee basket. Picked up some flowers and a thank you card and headed off to my students house. Her hubby cooked filets, ribeye steaks, and shrimp on the grill. She made a great salad, corn on the cob, and artichokes. We got talking and I found out they do PB!! What a small world. They offered their home gym anytime I want to use it. Was a great evening until I got back to the hotel and found my door open. Got a bellman and he went in with me. Everything was in its place and he checked under the bed, in the closet, and behind the shower curtain. I feel safer now. I did register a complaint with the front desk. Tired now and I start early, so off to bed!

                • A great day for you, sucks that it ended on an uncomfortable note. Very cool to find other primals in unexpected places.

                  • Thanks Greensprout. I got almost 7 hours - I still need more sleep to feel rested, though. Three hour meeting with my boss this morning, then I meet son #3 and his SO for a late lunch/early dinner before I go to the night clinic. I'm hoping to be done by 10pm. So I'm looking at an 18 hour day. The good news is I think I've gotten caught up enough that I can take Saturday off.

                        • Slept about 6 hours - anyone else notice I'm not sleeping well this trip? debating do I work on projects from hotel (laptop - totally doable) or go to the office (desktop with two screens - easier). It's still early. May do a few things here and then eat breakfast and decided. May want a nap!

                          • Dinner last night was steak and Cesar salad. Slept 7 hours - I need to hit 8 to feel frefreshed. Breakfast this morning with sons 3&4 and son 3's SO. Dinner tonight with son 4. Son 1 and DIL are OOT for her sisters graduation. Son 2 sent me text and we will do dinner when I get home. Nothing other than food planned today. May get out, may not. Depends on what I feel like doing!

                            • Took an hour power nap and felt great. Went out to a local mall. Picked up a slip, some sandals, hose, and 2 pair of work shorts for Son 4. Got some walking in, got out of the room, and gave housekeeping time to clean. Watched some homework videos and further organized homework flow. Getting ready to clean up for dinner.

                              • Salad with blue cheese, baked potato with butter and double sour cream, and shrimp diablo - all paid for by youngest son!
