  • Yes, trying to maximize the experience and loose weigh! Today up early, eggs ans sausage, conference, no lunch-water, meeting- no snack, all had gluten. Wine, eggplant slice, cheese, olives, wine, nachos with DH - starving! Note to self - take food next conference.

      Just catching up. Sounds like you're having a good week, despite the sketchy sleep. I'll be in Florida on the Gulf coast all next week for a work thing too, very much looking forward to walking on the beach, even if it's only in the evenings, and on my own.

      • Can I ask you a medical question?

        My hands and feet cramp something aweful - I mean, if I try to hold onto something my thumbs cramp or my little finger cramps --- I take potassium but it isn't helping. Could it be that I don't eat very much salt?

          • Did universal studios today. Walked 6 miles. Food fairly good. Did have corn chips.

              • You're going to come home either toned to the max or down 10 pounds OR BOTH after all that walking! Sounds like you're having a great trip!

                • My legs are looking good! Almost 8 miles today and I'm sure I will hit it before the end of the day. We went to Islands of Adventure. Lunch was at Mykos and they bent over backward to feed me within my diet. They even brought gluten free bread to the table for me when they brought bread for DH. I had a piece or two and it was good. Highly recommend you try it if there. So for the third time this stay, the water is out at the hotel. It really sucks.

                      • Slept off and on for about 7ish hours. Breakfast was the usual ths week. Very lazy day. Don't have to be at airport until tonight. Sometimes you need a lazy day in a hotel!

                        • Got home at midnight. Slept about 7 hours. Have not fully unpacked yet. Weight didn't change - funny the more I'm active the less it changes. I know that's why I try to ignore the scale! I will weigh the next few days and I know the scale will go down. House was clean, dogs thrilled we are home, leftover carnitas for dinner. Doing a load of laundry.

                          • When I was traveling a lot, I always, always lost 2-3 lbs after arriving home. Always. It was a bit weird. I attributed it to water weight/gas from being on the airplane - less pressure, more bloating!

                            • Good to hear its not just me, Siobhan. Slept right at 8 hours without waking up, but more light than deep sleep. Still tired. could easily go back to bed, but have to go to clinic. Putting fresh ham in slow-cooker - marinated with spices over night. So dinner will be done when I get home.
