  • Pork belly! You lucky cavewoman, you! I know this isn't a good time for vacation, probably impossible, but can you get away for a couple of days somewhere? NOT working. Away like a holiday.

    • Maybe a little mini vacation is the ticket! Not that it will fix anything or resolve anything - but sometimes you just have to do something nice for yourself. A spa day maybe?

      Sun and vitamin D! Good to not have any wine.

      • DH and I are going to San Antonio the first weekend of April for a good friends wedding. We are going over Friday and not coming home until Monday. I just have to hang on until then! I'm thinking crispy pork belly Pork Belly… Come ‘N’ Get It | theclothesmakethegirl
        I will have to work on case study 3 for stats as it is due tomorrow and I work the clinic. Sad to say, but as long as I pass I don't care about the grade.

          • Blew off homework again. Deadline is 1130 pm tomorrow, so I've got plenty of time (or at least I keep telling myself that). Burgers wrapped in Bibb lettuce were good. DS brought me wine (I knew he was my favorite! ). Getting ready to watch my guilty pleasure - DWTS. . Clinic tomorrow. Putting a pork butt in slow cooker in the AM.

              thats only a couple of weeks !!! You can make it till then

              as for the grades.......... diplomas don't show grades --- and C's earn degree's just like A's!

                Have to make at minimum a B since its doctoral degree - but I'm down to P for pass is perfect!!

                      No, I finish didactic classes about this time next year (I would be done, but have to wait for cohort who didn't bring in classes with them [my first doctorate transferred some credits into this one]). On the positive side they are all taking 3-4 classes a semester and I'm taking 2. After didactic I take my comprehensive exams, defend my proposal, do my research, write dissertation, and defend dissertation. I'm hoping to have everything complete May 2015.

                      • Slept a restless 7 hours - woke up when DS left for work 0400 and DH at 0500. Gave up and got up myself at 0630. Fed dogs, started pork, drinking coffee, getting ready to get moving. Clinic today - spring break is over, so traffic, and probably busy (although, last Thursday was bad). In addition to my usual Tuesday and Thursday, I'm covering Friday also this week.

                          • Slept a solid 7 hours. Stormed last night - lots of rain. Juliet had to hide under the covers. Making a grocery list. Have a massage late morning. Then homework. Not sure what I'm making for dinner. Still have two artichokes to deal with. Funny just noticed - my feet (usually fairly slim) are looking skinny and bony. Wish it was my stomach! Heard from the lady I met in EP who was stood up by her friends on her birthday and she has lost 10 lbs so far. Can't wait to see her in may. Okay need to get moving.

                            • Scored fresh pineapples for $1 each. I'm going to make a leftover turkey and veggie (colored peppers, onion, mushroom) frittata for dinner tonight. Got just enough to make it until I pick up veggie box on Saturday.

                                It's funny, I have been thinking that my feet are narrower, but feet don't lose weight, do they? Maybe it is just that there is less of me pressing down on them?
