  • I had noticed the journals are rather quiet the last couple of weeks. Maybe everyone is playing catch-up. And a couple of people that posted a lot haven't been around, Judg for one. I hope we see some familiar names pop up soon.

      • Finished with round table on obesity. My not eating gluten or grains was a hot topic. Everyone agreed that CW doesn't work for everyone. So there are 8 NPs out there who are open to our way of eating! The organizer made sure I had options for eating clean. I probably had too many veggies last night, but today was good. I wasn't tempted by the desserts at all. Tomorrow morning I'm off to EP. Cough seems a bit better today.

        • You'll do great even while being in a hotel for 2 weeks! You can do it! And I would bet you'll find a nice number on the scale when you get home ! A welcome home gift!

          • Been very busy. Eating primal, not necessarily HFLC. Wearing a skirt today - have received multiple comments on how "great" I look. Funny, I still see really fat me when I look in the mirror. Still don't like pictures. I'm thinking steak tonight. Maybe a yam..... For our faculty workshop today there was a plethora of bread products. I brought my Greek yogurt and avoided the death traps. Coffee with cream was good, though. More later.

            • Surviving. Not sleeping as well as I would like (obviously!) . Had shrimp cocktail app, salad, ribeye and sweet potato for dinner with a glass of wine. Have half the steak and potato for lunch today. Will take another Greek yogurt to work for breakfast. New student orientation all day (07-4p) and tomorrow (07-5p). Fortunately I can pop in and out as needed. I still do not have my courses put together! I've turned in 3 school assignments of my own and have another one due today. Long day today for sure and tomorrow DH flies in. A friend is giving me a ride to the school so I can leave rental for DH to drive. He will come get me at 6 and we are having dinner with friends at 630 by the campus. Okay, off to try and catch some zzzzzzzzzz.

                • Up again. today DH gets in and I will either sleep better or worse. IF most of yesterday, I just wasn't hungry (and it was leftover steak). Going out with friends - don't know what I will eat after looking up menu on-line. I need to drink more water - leg cramp tonight. Cough is just annoying now. Up to my eyeballs trying to wrestle with new on-line platform and get courses ready. 5 days until they go live......

                  • Wore skirt again yesterday (did I mention its a medium?). DH is in town and we had dinner with friends. Of the 3 gluten free meals they offered only one didn't have grains or legumes. I picked at it, I've just not been very hungry lately. Don't know what weight is doing, but clothes still fit. Today I will be chained to the computer working on my course shells. The platform crashed yesterday. Hoping its up and working today. Dinner is up in the air.

                    • We've had steakhouse two nights in a row. Met the girlfriend's family the first night and friends the next. Tonight we are going to the kids house to eat - Hawaiian since the DiL is 1/2. I have to go to campus today. Got to finish getting the last course done. System has been up and down which makes it a challenge. Clothes still fit. Keeping to primal on the trip and will go back to HFLC when I get home. I'm only home 10 days and I'm off to Utah for school. Home two weeks and back on campus for a week. I'm going to have to figure out HFLC for travel!

                      • Ate the meat and raw veggies last night. Avoided egg rolls, pita chips, rice, macaroni salad. Unsweetened tea. Slice of homemade cheesecake. Leftover BBQ and some potato/ham mix from breakfast a few days ago for lunch. Omlet, bacon, coffee for breakfast. Did fairly well yesterday. Slept good last night. Drinking coffee. Will have yogurt for breakfast. Leftover steak for lunch. Going in to campus again today. I was the only one in the building yesterday - my courses are good to go. Today working on my homework!

                        • Glad to hear things are going well. You get all the prizes for staying primal while traveling. If I was still traveling as I used to I don't know if I would manage. I would have to live on hard-boiled eggs and cans of tuna, which would get old fast. When do you finish the degree you are working on now?

                          • Well I don't know about the award! I've not sleep eaten a hamburger with bun again, but occasionally I have the breaded stuff in the concierge lounge, some crispy FF, and very rarely when tired of sweet potato I have a baked potato which is actually a vehicle for butter and sour cream. If all goes well I take my comps summer 2014 and then I can do my research. I hope to do commencement August 2015.

                              • Prime rib last night. Finished the last of my dry salami with concerge lounge cheese, green peppers, cherry tomato, and some grapes. I travel with snack size zip locks on purpose. Finished early. Back at hotel. Waiting for them to finish cleaning the room. I want a nap! Home tomorrow.
