  • Slept okay until DH had to leave for work at 0430. Was awake until he sent text that he got in okay. Being lazy this morning. Have another hour before I've got to get moving. I'm spending the day being pampered (massage, facial, pedicure, manicure). I will take some cheese and nuts to eat during pedicure. Leftover pork for dinner with salad and something.

    • Slept great last night. Took girls in for hair cuts and baths this morning before going to the clinic. Clinic wasn't bad. Got out by 430 and home by 515. Girls look pretty. Dinner is a London broil I put in the slow cooker with spices, broth, and hot pepper rings - my take on Italian beef. Pretty tasty. Got a lovely dark purple pashmina shawl from our DME supplier, Belgium chocolate cups and a bottle of French red wine from the pharmacy (local, privately owned) we use pretty much exclusively, and a gift card for a local eatery from two former students today. Cold front came in today. I'm now off until 1/2/13!

          Haha.....I've started reading for next semester for my classes. I'm waiting until after Christmas and I will work on my on-line courses and get them ready for the students. But I do have two days blocked out to do absolutely nothing!

          • Ugh........... you put me to shame........... I'd take the entire break and do everything BUT teacher/student stuff!

              • Last night went to my parents house and visited with my uncle. Drank wine. Slept great. Baked two apple & pear Paleo crumbles. Took one to my parents. Had hair done. Clinic Christmas party was tonight. DH went with. We stayed about 2 hours and are now home. Errands tomorrow.

                • Couldn't sleep. Got up, balanced checkbook, and paid bills - something on my list for today anyway! Been up about 2 hours. Going to try going to bed and reading for a bit to see if I relax.

                  • Slept a couple more hours. Restructured my day so I can stay home. Going to cook a turkey (stuffing the cavity with sliced grapefruit that I need to use), fresh green beans and carrots with bacon and some small red potatoes. Will get tree decorated, packages wrapped, maybe CE on labs done. That means tomorrow I must run errands! I've put it off to the point of ridiculousness. I need to get groceries for Christmas.

                    • Finally got the tree up! Turkey looked moist - I ended up gorging myself on the tasty crispy skin and green beans with bacon. Have bones in slowcooker for bone broth. Finally starting to feel caught up.........

                      Did CE test. Did not wrap gifts.

                          • Slept like a log. Didn't even hear DS leave for work. Weight staying too high and waist up an inch - will have to really think about what to do in January. Bone broth in slow cooker smells fantastic. Leftovers for dinner tonight. Grocery shopping and gift wrapping are on the agenda. Maybe baking some primal sweet potato bars but with pumpkin substitution. Made 6 batches of primal spiced nuts last night to give as gifts in canning jars with ribbon tied in a bow around the neck. Have to set out the chili fixings to thaw for tomorrow. I can't believe its almost Christmas.

                            • Shopping done. Green beans for lunch. Chili fixings set out to thaw. I need to strain the bone broth, pick out bones and meat, add some spinach to meat bits for dinner tonight.

                              • Two days to do nothing! That sounds like a gift in and of itself.

                                Congrats on your A! But I am not surprised.
