  • Clinic was not bad. Tomorrow I've got a series of small tasks to complete. Need to work on stats final. Leftovers for dinner. Marinated London broil for dinner tomorrow and more squash.

    • Slept great. It's dreary here - would love to crawl back in the bed, but I can't. Alarm workman coming at 9 (3 break-ins our neighborhood last month), stats final (I need to at least do an hour or so working on it) , try on clothes so I know what to pack (since my last trip I've lost almost 3 inches in my waist and 2 cup sizes, but weigh the same) , finish wrapping gifts to pack, two student calls, cook London broil and squash, and here's where you will feel sorry for me, NOT - a 90 minute massage (with the therapist who relaxes me like a cooked noodle) . DH goes to work, so should get everything done. I think I will leave the bank deposit for him to do Friday after he takes me to the airport (I hope to get paid at the clinic tomorrow). Okay off to start my day, wishing everyone a great day and primal eating!

      • London broil turned out great. You could taste the ginger and lime. Made the squash the same way - just as good this time. Packed lunch for tomorrow. All errands run, massage put me to sleep. Ready for clinic and packing tomorrow.

        • So it was marinated in ginger and lime? Sounds wonderful!

With a bit of garlic, salt, pepper. I let it marinate several days - I just didn't get around to cooking it. DS guessed lime and ginger right off.

                • Woke up without a voice. Staying home from clinic. Pushing hot tea with honey and lemon. Considering how many folks have been sick in the forum, I think we are sharing long distance! going to try and rest. Hope I feel better tomorrow as I travel.

                  • I think you're right about the muscles. So sorry to hear about your throat. Mine has been dragging on for ages. It's not bad in the day-time anymore, but it is bothering me at night and first thing in the morning. It hurts almost all the way down my tongue. Blech. Take good care of yourself.

                          • Trip to EP was uneventful. The hotel even had my room ready for me at 0930! On the floor I prefer and with a fridge. I was able to get into the club lounge before it closed and stock up on water and club soda (my new obsession). Didn't do a lot at the university yesterday, handed out christmas cards with gift cards in them, got caught up, basically made it known I was in town. Took my regalia to a tailor to have a zippered pocket put in for my phone, keys, etc. because you can carry a purse. Stopped at Sprouts and got some greek yogurt, lunch meat, cheese. Dropped everything off at the hotel and walked across the street to my favorite steakhouse. Prime rib, salad, and a splurge baked potato were my eats for the day. Slept good. Issues getting on the internet, but luckily my MacBook can do wordprocessing as well as apple and I could get on in Word. Time to shower and get started (a bit later than usual as my 1st class agreed to a 10am start instead of 8 ).

                            • Class went well. Had dinner at the hotel - BBQ sandwhich without the bun, napa cabbage salad and dinner salad with blue cheese. Tomorrow I've got to work on the stats final, have a meeting with a faculty who teaches with me, paperwork, and the night clinic.

                              • Slept about 5 hours and then up. Have done some busy work, little things that needed completing. I've got to get up for real in 2 1/2 hours, so may try reading a chapter and see if that winds me down. It's the hotel room, by the time I get used to it, I'm checking out and on my way home. Busy week ahead - need to learn to sleep!
