    • Pork turned out great. Added some carrots too. Enough for a mock taco salad for my lunch tomorrow and dinner. Lots of "gravy" for the girls. They are getting spoiled!

      • Slept fair. DS left for work at 4 - woke up. DH left at 5 - up now. I don't have to be up until 745, so may go back to sleep. Got my stats case study turned in yesterday after a 2 hour Skype with another student. Sometimes 2 brains are better than one! Two hour teleconference meeting after that for work. 4 student clinical conference calls. Various other things around the house. Dinner, wine, tv. Today clinic. It feels like forever since I've been there. I'm not really wanting to go, but my checkbook says I need to! Too bad I don't play the lottery - the powerball is way up there.......

        • Enjoy your clinic work. I know it's not fun and games, but at least you must occasionally feel useful.

          • Thanks Judg. I'm just in a funk lately. I love the clinic, enjoy teaching the students, and for the most part like the patients/parents. What I don't enjoy is the office politics, but that comes with any job!

              • Not surprising you're in a bit of a funk. November tends to be a down time for almost everybody, and you've got so much on the go, it must be difficult to keep up the enthusiasm all the time. This too shall pass.

                • So true Judg, so true..... So just before I was going out the door for my long awaited GYN visit with the Paleo doctor, they called to reschedule. The next time I have open that they have an appointment is the end of January. I got to have CWCC and had bacon, onions, and eggs since I had been fasting. I'm also doing laundry.

                  • Dinner last night was eggplant slices baked in the oven layered with homemade meat sauce and shredded mozzarella then sprinkled with p. cheese. I made some for my lunch today too. They were great. Slept like a baby. Getting caught up, drinking CWCC. Ready to go to clinic. Set out some nitrite free hot dogs for dinner. Not sure what I will do with them yet, but that's the plan.

                    • That reminds me to get an eggplant! I love those natural hot dogs. I get the Applegate Farms brand. They are so beefy and delicious. I ate my last one yesterday, must replenish my supply. Okay, off to make grocery list...

                      • Yum, eggplant. It's not coming in my organic basket right now, and I'm trying to take advantage of it to learn to eat more seasonally. But I do sneak out to buy tomatoes and peppers and avocados. So hard to survive without my nightshades...

                        • Boys had hot dogs and last can of canned chili. I'm scrounging leftovers. Clinic was okay. Got paid! . Will marinate a London broil tomorrow. Dinner will be some top steaks and veggies.

                          • Slept fair. Up twice. Late start for me. Getting caught up and drinking the usual. Have a Skype meeting in an hour to work with a fellow student on the last stats case study. After that is done only the final remains. Got my grade for the paper I turned in for my other class and I did well. Glad for the feedback, as I hope to finish the last two papers this weekend. After Skype, I have a hair appointment. I need to run by my parents and pick up the Christmas gifts to take to the kids next trip. Then I need to do some grading and make 3 student calls. Okay time to get moving........

                              • I don't know what sucks more, not being able to sleep or being sound asleep and DH alarm going off at 4 and knowing DS will be up at 5 both for work. No matter how quiet they are, I wake up. Hopefully I can get a quick snooze in before I need to get up. Meanwhile, got my grade on paper #2 and its good too, so with excellent feedback, I'm prepared to tackle papers #3 & 4 this weekend. My study buddy and I are Skyping again Monday for the stats case study I mentioned yesterday. We got a weird result, so ran it by the instructor and he pointed us in the right direction. We meet again on Wednesday for the final exam case studies (we are allowed to work in teams on it). Hoping that by Wednesday night all my homework is turned in for this semester. I leave again Friday and as usual the trip is packed with stuff to do! Okay DS is gone, so off to try and catch some zzzzzzzzzz.........
