  • Slept great until the girls decided they needed to go out - they just don't get the whole DST thing! Went back to bed (no I'm not feeding you yet, get your nose out of my face) and attempted to doze with two dogs watching me and DH snoring next to me. Finally gave up, everyone's up and fed. Weight unchanged. I'm having CWCC and catching up. Then it's shower and pack time. DH is dropping me off at the airport on his way to work, so I will be there for about 3 hours. Fortunately there is a decent place to eat that is fanatical about food allergies (they ask when I say no bun, then the manager comes over to double check). So I will eat there (too bad I can't get their breakfast, they give me extra bacon and eggs to make up for no toast) and sip iced tea and read while I kill time. 2 hour flight, rental car, bags, drive to friend's house, unpack, get ready for 3 days of curriculum revision meetings (8-6 ). A day to catch up, then site visit, meeting, interviews. I've got 16 applicants to my programs to interview! I'm working 2 shifts at the night clinic and have a student one shift (6-midnight). Meeting sons 1,3,4 and their SOs for dinner one night. Oh, and I've got to finish a paper (hopefully 3) during my "free time." Another jam packed trip.

          • Did not sleep well last night. Up at 0530 and off to meetings at 0700. Mushroom and cheese omelet before leaving with coffee. Meeting ran straight thru until 3pm. Snacked on cheese, grapes, strawberries, Greek yogurt. Eggplant parm for lunch. Salad with chicken for dinner. Worked on various projects from 3-630. Watching DWTS and catching up.

                    • Slept 11 hours - I was tired. Up, showered, ate omelet with cheese and chicken. Drinking coffee. Gearing up to spread out and get paper written. Have to be across town for night clinic at 6 tonight and we will run probably until close to midnight.

Update: Paper written and turned in. Two hours to relax, then I need to get ready for the night clinic.

It was decadent, but the previous 4 nights were between 4-6 hours each with long brain intensive days! I'd rather work 10 hours on my feet seeing kids then sit and argue with a group over wording any day......

                          • I was home by midnight and slept okay up a couple of times since I'm pushing water. Saw 20 kiddos in 3 hours, nothing for an hour, then finished with 4 in about 30 minutes. Getting ready to get moving, have a 0830 meeting with one of my preceptors, then a team meeting at 10-1130. Start interviewing at 12 and go straight thru every 20 minutes until 5. Another meeting at 530 and then rustle up food and sleep. Saturday class starts at 0800.

                            • Can't sleep (probably the two slices of bread I had while waiting for my dinner - I knew it would upset my stomach, but was starved). Last night I got about 5 hours of sleep. Went by a clinic first thing and saw a student. Pedi team meeting after that. Some time to wolf down leftover steak, mushrooms, onion since my Greek yogurt had worn off. Then 5 hours of interviews, which ran late making me have to cancel my massage. I've been trying to use this Groupon and its not working out. Stopped for dinner about 7 and the bread (and wine) happened while waiting for my meat and sweet potato. In bed when I got back to the house and right to sleep. Now awake with stomach and headaches. One of these days I will learn. I need to carry emergency snacks for times like those so I don't get too hungry. Okay back to bed and hopefully sleep!

                              • Hope you got some more sleep. Last night was my first opportunity in awhile to sleep long and not have to get up and I took advantage of it. Woke up and and watched the stars rotate through my skylights. Orion was right overhead and as he moved I saw him through the window over my head. Never thought I would be stargazing from my bed.
