  • Rah, rah, siss boom bah!

    I'm cheering for you guys...
    5'2", 55 years, Primal since April. Pre-Primal weight loss, from 216.6 to 157.8
    Primal low: 140.2 (Dec. 3) Goal weight: 135?
    Main Primal goal: beating back my CFS enough to function more normally and start writing again

      • I no longer have my pom poms from my cheerleading days......... and can no longer do the splits.......... but I can jump up and down (as long as no one is looking!)

              • you went from 170.2 to 167.4 OVER NIGHT? Girlfriend.......... how did you do that? I need about 2 weeks of doing that every night Think about it...... 14 days of 3 pounds a night? Thats like 42 pounds. I'd be inches from the finish line!

                Yesterday I walked 3 miles and did 45 minutes of Tae Bo........ and I gained 4 ounces. Go figure..............

                          As for seasoning --- I put garam masala on my eggs instead of salt.

                          • Took last 2 biostats quizzes and got 90s on both. In that class, I'm now down to 2 case studies and a final! So far I'm on schedule to finish everything before Thanksgiving. That's 5 weeks early, but I wanted a longer break!

                            • wow! So when you're finished what will be your new credentials? You are a nurse practitioner now or a PA??? I don't remember. Had I known I had such an interest and a knack for the medical field I would have gone into medicine when I was younger -- but, I was in my 40's before I got into the field, and it was only as a Clinical Research Coordinator at that. I LOVE scouring patients charts for information and trying to diagnose what is happening by the symptoms they exhibit. I guess I'm an armchair doctor. If I happen to win the lottery and have the funds to go to Medical School --- I'll have an MD after my name someday! But - since I don't PLAY the lottery, thats not likely to happen. DUH! I used to dream of being a Family/Marriage Counselor - now I dream bigger! I'd love to be an NP or an MD. So......... when you talk about working in the clinic - I start salivating!

                              • I'm a Pediatric NP. I've got a clinical doctorate (DNP) and am now working on my PhD in Nursing. I try and talk people out of med school and into NP. Cost of school versus reimbursement now makes my argument for me.
