  • I am amazed at your ability to stay primal on the road and even cook in your room. You should write a book. I know what you're thinking - you have quite enough to do already!

You are funny! I'm not the only one who travels. I just decided I couldn't eat out all the time - I can't trust the menus or the "secret" ingredients that kept upsetting my tummy. Tomorrow my class of 5 is going to PF Changs. I've looked at the gluten free menu and know what I can eat. No class for me tomorrow - I've got 2 stats quizzes, a paper, and a presentation I want to knock out. If I can survive until the end of the month, I will have made up the 3 incomplete papers and be ahead this semester. My goal is to finish as much as possible before my 29th wedding anniversary.

I volunteer to be your biographer! I've always wanted to write a book! What a great idea!

        • Happy upcoming anniversary! We will be celebrating 11 years on Oct. 13th. Should be closer to 30, but we both took a detour and married other people........... big mistake!

Good job on the schoolwork! You're kicking butt!

            • Productive day yesterday. Wrote a paper, took a stats quiz (100), and 75% finished my presentation for Friday. Met the rest of the class at Carrabas (their choice), who have a gluten free menu. Had a small chicken breast with sun dried tomato, goat cheese, and basil with spinach and a salad. Slept great last night - finally! Will have a BAS with chicken for lunch. Breakfast Greek yogurt and a banana with coffee. Snacks are a kind bar and mini carrots. Lots of water. 8 hours of a very soft spoken, mono-tone instructor on theory...........may need extra caffeine!

              • Class was okay today. Dinner was the last of the chicken sausages. Slept for a couple of hours after I finished my presentation. Now I'm up. Hope to go back to sleep shortly.

                • Carrabas is pretty good for eating primal, or at least close.

So you are doing crock pot meals in your hotel rooms? Any tips for me? I've got a few days of hotel living coming up.

                  • Small crock pot, buy chicken in hotel town, bring spices to season in a zip lock from home. Salad fixings and what not to add chicken too.

                        • Slept like a rock 11 hours! Today I pack and fly home. Airport food... . Tomorrow I get another delivery of grass fed meat. . I need to organize my freezer. The wire baskets I ordered should be waiting for me when I get home. I plan on writing one of the papers I owe for my incomplete class from the summer tomorrow, also. I'm not going to stress over it, just get it done well enough to pass and move on.......

                          • I really need to get a small freezer - every time I read your journal I remind myself and then I forget...off to look at freezers...

                            • Love my freezer. I didn't think the local order would last a whole month, but it has. I did supplement with a grass fed beef order (all those yummy steaks and the chili I made). So will probably supplement once a quarter or so, mainly because I like to cook large batches and eat off them a couple of days. Saw an commercial for a ninja cooking system - put on my wish list (maybe Christmas). has anyone used bountiful baskets? They are coming to my neiborhood and I'm thinking of trying them if the pick up day is one I can do.

                              No asthma issues this trip!!!

                              • We don't have that here in Maine (surprise...) but it sounds like a great idea. Also sounds like something that would work really well here. If I was a dynamic entrepreneurial-type person I would start something up.

Still looking for a freezer - got it narrowed down. Can't decide between delivery and driving to Target - almost an hour away.

You know, since going primal I have had virtually no asthma issues. Yahoo!
