        • Slept a whopping 4 3/4 hours with 90 minutes deep. I got up, showered and made myself go to the workshop. I made it until lunch break and excused myself. They (all nurses) are very understanding. Of course my face around my mouth is rashy and I'm limping from knee pains add that to the HUGE circles under my eyes and pallor and it's a bit obvious I'm not quite 100%. So I'm missing the afternoon session and lazing around the room trying to recover.

              • Took the muddled study guide for core comp exam and put it into an organized table form with text pages related to topics. Spent about 2 hours on it, but I have a much better idea of what I need to review. Not really hungry - sort of peckish. I've got two hard boiled eggs, some mayo, and S&P - so going to make some egg salad for a snack before bed. Right now I'm going to get some ice so I can make a protein shake with a banana.

                      Yup, but I kept getting email from students in crisis. Finally turned sound off and answered one last one before saying enough is enough.

                      • Slept 6 1/4 hours with 2 3/4 deep, asleep in 6 minutes, woke up once for about 18 minutes - which I don't remember. Feel a bit groggy. Up, showered, hair washed, drinking hotel room coffee (desperate for caffeine), catching up. Got one question back from editor - not much changed, but some comments on how to make it stronger. So glad I sucked it up and sent them.

                        Another long day at the workshop. Lecture in the morning and then questions in the afternoon. Hopefully it will pass quickly and not drag. Lunch is supposed to be Mediterranean grill. Done at 4 - probably will take a quick nap before dinner. Need to do boarding pass thing before dinner too.

                            • I seriously overate! Started with cold beet and cucumber soup - interesting, not my favorite. Then pulled pork with Carolina vinegar BBQ sauce and cheese grits - pork melted in my mouth with a tangy sauce and smooth creamy grits flavored with gruyere cheese. To finish a chocolate taurine with fresh whipped cream and a warm salted carmel sauce. Add a 1/2 bottle of white burgundy. Everything was sooooo good! Yes I know I violated my wine rule, so no wine this weekend. The meal just cried out for wine.

                              Back in room with a cup of decaf. Late start tomorrow. 1/2 packed. Saw a couple of stores I want to browse in tomorrow before I leave.
