  • Fun filled last 24-hours. Air conditioner broke, so it got quite warm. I got overheated and vomited my dinner - not fun! Slept poorly, stiff neck and headache. Drowsy all day. Made some student phone calls-have 3 more to do. My stats teacher (have I said how much I like him) posted a video working thru the problems I couldn't figure out. Boy do I feel dumb seeing how easy it is. I just couldn't get it from reading. So I finished and posted my homework. DS texted he is starving so gave choice of leftovers or Parmesan crusted tilapia, which he picked. I will add a sweet potato and spinach they will get rice and spinach. Still have nagging headache - but have hope it will go away soon.

    • oh......... sorry!!! puking dinner is aweful! Hope you will be getting that a/c working soon.

            • Great, I've woken up with pink eye - I know it's viral since I'm on antibiotics, but that means no clinic today. So all of this started after I had interdermal skin testing for allergies which resulted in huge 3+ reactions to house dust, dust mites, weeds, cockroach. The reaction was so bad they gave me steroids to take. Fortunately I only took two of the six pills since that alone lowered my immune system. I really feel like I'm falling apart right now, just like DH said! He's off to work already and was concerned enough to bring me a glass of OJ - I know no juice, but right now it tastes really good. I'm going to try and get in to my massage therapist as my neck is really tight and if that relaxes I think I will feel better. Right now doing moist heat and that is helping. I just want to get past all of this - I feel like I've been sick forever and am ready to feel good like I did before WN.

              Wow am I ever whining! Time to put on my big girl panties and get over it! Sorry folks who read this.

              • Hey - its your journal......... whine away, dear! You're system must be weak right now with both strep and pink eye! Load up on the vitamins! And I think you're allowed a little OJ under the circumstances.

                  • Well I've unintentionally IFd 20 hours. I'm not really hungry. Had coffee this morning and am drinking iced tea now. I went back to bed after I got DH off (he was deployed to another UT campus due to a student incident) and slept another 3 hours. Got up and went to my massage therapist - she said I was more knotted up than usual. Still have a bit of a headache, but think its my allergies kicking in. There are plenty of leftovers or DS to eat for dinner, so I'm not cooking. I'm contemplating an omelet and some avacado myself, if I get hungry.

                    • Ended up having avacado, bacon, baked sweet potato with butter, couple of almonds, and cherry tomatoes. Didn't feel like cooking, so turned on the oven and let it work. Set out what I think is cooked chicken and possibly ham/kale soup to thaw. I've really got to start labeling stuff! So that's dinner tomorrow. Friday we will have grass fed New York steaks, a big salad, and roasted potatoes. May do a pot of paleo chili Saturday, depends if DH is home and if I feel like it. I've got a freezer full of grass fed pork and beef, so the possibilities are endless!

                      • Woke up after about 4 hours of sleep. Gave in and worked on some stats homework - should make me sleepy right? Been up about an hour and a half and I'm just about ready to turn off the light. Text from DH that they recovered the student and she is unharmed. He will be home tomorrow. The good guys win one!

                        • Hope you got some sleep - and tackled that darned stats homework! I HATED my probability and stats class! But I still pulled an A!

                          • Math is not my friend! I did make an A in biostats 1. This is 2 and I have 3 next semester. DH is about 3 hours from home. The mystery frozen foods were cooked chicken and a container of ham/kale soup. So it's leftovers for dinner, but will set out steaks to thaw for tomorrow!

                            • Hi Kathi. So sorry to hear you have been sick lately. Here's to getting better as soon as possible!

                              Four boys, eh? I'm not the only crazy one. Our fifth was a girl. You want to try again? LOL!

                              • Welcome Judg. I have a lovely DIL who fills the slot. My brother has two boys, so the standing joke is whichever grandson has a girl better watch out as she will be spoiled rotten!

                                I too am hoping to feel better quickly. It's hard to be enthusiastic about anything when you feel yuk. I want to start making my goals next week.
