    • So with all the goal setting and excercise going on in Siobhan and Tomi's lives, I feel like a slug. Could it be that my failure to move Q past a certain point is due to ****drum roll, please**** my not excercising? I know stupid question, but sometimes I've got to be hit on the head to see what's right in front of me. I'm going to go back and look at PB and the 21 day challenge and set some realistic short term goals. I'm going to try and make it about health and feeling good, not Q. So being the type AAA that I am, I just scheduled goal setting in my calendar! Really, one of these days I would like to get up and have nothing that I've got to do.....

      • Other than paying bills and balancing the check book, I've been very lazy today. I put some grass fed pork chops out to thaw for dinner. That and some Brussels and may be a sweet potato will round out the meal. I plan on walking with Latte and Juliet about 5, at least around the neiborhood. While its getting "cooler" it's still 90s today and by then will be mid 80s.


        Rain - no walk.

        • Clinic today. Have no idea what dinner will be. Leftover chicken hash with left over Brussels and cheese for lunch. Green tea with pomegranate to drink.

          • Now I know why I was so tired yesterday and this morning - rotten kids from Monday got me sick - I tested + for strep. Home, pushing fluids, antibiotics. Supposed to have big date with DH tomorrow, of course.

                • UGH! Strep sucks! But the good part is, the antibiotics will kick in the butt fast! Maybe you'll even feel well enough to go out on the date Friday night. Sure hope so........... Maybe hubby could arrange for the house to be empty for the night ???? and he could bring dinner home to you along with a good movie? You can still do date night even if you aren't feeling the greatest?

                  • I actually feel much better this morning. I took two doses of antibiotic yesterday before going to bed early. Fever and headache are gone this morning, throat is slightly sore. Will do some salt water gargles to help it along. I think the hot date is on!

                      • Relaxing drive about 30 minutes north of our home. Friendly check in, room ready for us early and with personal details. Up to concierge floor, unpacked, relaxed, short nap, got ready for dinner. South American Restaraunt for dinner - my favorite Malbec, beef short ribs, grilled veggies, roasted beets (DH got my mashed potatoes). He ate the bread pudding, I scooped tastes of the cinnamon ice cream and toffee on top. Back to hotel, change into comfortable clothes, lobby bar for a drink and more chit chat. Slept okay (up my usual 3-5). Light breakfast at concierge lounge (they had cured meats, berries, hard boiled eggs). Now just lounging around taking it easy.

                          • Fairly lazy day today. Reviewing 21 day challenge to set my goals, got DiL birthday card ready to mail, worked on minutes and agenda form for meeting tomorrow. Then butted my head against my stats homework. I can not figure out one-way ANOVA table. Quiz later this week, I am so sunk!!

                            Started cut up pork shoulder steaks with onion, peppers, crushed tomato, salt and pepper in the slow cooker this morning. Will use up some lentils on the boys. Maybe kale for me.

                            Throat is sore again and I've not missed antibiotics. Headache too....probably contributed to my inability to do my homework.

                            • After much thought I'm going to go with the following goals:
                              1. Since I don't do any excercise, I want to start - I will get off my butt and move in some way 3 days a week x 2 weeks -> then increase.
                              2. I will clean out the butler's pantry in my house and make it a PB food zone only.
                              3. I will start planning dinners out weekly to ensure I have plenty of good food to eat.
                              4. I will limit yellow corn tortillas to 4/week.

                              Simple steps, but will add once these are done/habits.
