    • Slept pretty well about 8 hours. Having a cup of tea and catching up before getting ready for the clinic. Shi is a smart pup, we have a string of bells hanging from the back door. He has rang them twice to go outside. Chicken soup is ready for heating up tonight.

      • The bell ringing is hilarious!! My smartest girl will sit in front of me and bark/whine telling me the water bowl is empty. They have a special bark for UPS guy. They'll run out the doggie door letting him know what's what. He says to them, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's so funny. I know he gets a lot of that. But let them see another dog walk by, oh, lord, they give him hell.

        • Using my UP again. Slept okay 7 1/2 hours with light>deep, woke up twice for over 2 hours. I need to retrain myself to sleep better again. Today I'm supposed to have 6 month follow up with surgeon, then go to interview with provost, then meet DH and out of town friend for dinner. I need to wear hose, dress, heels, and jacket for interview, but strip naked for follow-up with surgeon. I'm thinking of rescheduling surgeon - I scheduled things myself, but the logistics hit me yesterday - duh! Palm to forehead smack!! I will confess that I'm scrounging for interview acceptable outfits. I'm sure I will wear a dress to the final (if I make it) interview with the university president. Once I have the position (fingers crossed), I can wear business casual - that I have more of. The issue is I'm either a medium or large top or dress depending on who makes it and cut and a 10-12 pant or dress for the same reason. I tend to shop on-line, so much goes back! I've not needed a formal suit, so don't have one. I'm wearing Variegated Stripe Cap Sleeve Dress | Loft with a black blazer, sheer hose, and black pumps today. I'm not as tall as the model (5'3"), so it hits right at my knees. Because of the variegated stripes the blazer gives the illusion that it's two pieces. Hope it's okay - I suck at dressing myself after spending years in scrubs, maternity clothes, or lounge wear!

P.S. - I got the dress at 60% off. I did not pay full price or delivery charge.

          • That is super-nice! I have the same problem with dresses - I have relatively broad shoulders for someone my size and tops are tight across my shoulders and too loose in other places. I'm not freakish, just not quite fitting into standard clothes. When I was wearing business clothes - the infamous 80s - everything was so horrible. Now everyone is wearing pretty colors and feminine stuff, comfortable knits. And now I wear scrubs! And swimsuits. Although I'm not sure about an office job - I'd probably get fired in no time for snarking off to my coworkers.

            • Interview went fantastic. One more with president and if I pass, he will offer the job. Still no idea about salary or title, but the provost did tell me if I couldn't live with what they offer to contact him and he would see what he could do.

Dinner was shrimp out with DH and friend. I did reschedule MD appointment. I'm glad I did.

                • Now I have to figure out one last formal interview outfit! It was strongly recommended that I wear a skirt and heels again.

When I told her I drive to Webster to see a paleo/crossfit GYN, she said that she could find someone closer. Also the provost was saying he was on the Mediterranean diet and I popped out with, that won't work, you need to cut carbs and he asked her. She said that's correct that she eats meat, veggies, fruit, nuts, and berries, drinks water or black coffee. He asked what he should read and I directed him to MDA.

                          • Great news on the job front! You will have your own tribe soon!

I have been meaning to ask if you have been using your UP. The new FitBit is coming out soon; I have it pre-ordered. I will be glad to have it again. It will be a lot more useful because it will have a watch built in. That little device seriously upped my activity in a good way. It got me off the sofa in the evenings, and nothing else has done that.

                            • What I don't like about the UP is I have to plug it in to see how much I've walked. I do like that it buzzes if I don't move after a preset time.
