  • Slept pretty good. Nothing planned for today. I'm thinking I might transcribe the two interviews I did this summer for pilot. Dinner will be hamburger patties and probably cole slaw. Hopefully no nap today (only napped 1 hour yesterday). I won't be able to nap next Wednesday - Friday when I'm in class.

    I'm contemplating taking the rest of October off from the clinic. It's not that I can't go back, but I'm so far behind with school that it would help me get caught up. It's only 4 days and interestingly the 2 night clinic shifts (4 hours each) I'm doing in EP (with a post-MSN PNP student and a DNP student who is a FNP doing clinical hours with me) equal 2 16 hour days at the clinic. So the bank account will see some extra money. I've budgeted on DH retirement check, current job check, and my faculty check. Clinic is extra to pay things down.

    Also that gives me the opportunity to travel to EP and again to board of nursing meetings in Austin without working clinic before and after travel days. Kind of ease back in, so to speak. Any thoughts from my cyber friends?

    • Of course you know I am going to say take off from the clinic! You have quite enough on your plate. You've just had major surgery. AND you can spin it even more positively with the board meetings.

        • You just need to go with the flow. Next wed to Friday you'll have your game on so you won't feel like sleeping. Oh and I agree about dropping the clinic for a while.
          I'm not saying lets kill all the stupid people in the world, I'm just saying let's remove all the warning labels and let the problem take care of itself.

            • Slept okay. Up drinking coffee and catching up.

              Please pray for Winencandy and her family. I can't share the private message, but all prayer will help.

              Need to do outline for presentations, pay bills, and give myself my immunotherapy today. Sometime this week, I've got to put together 2 presentations for school, check on my malpractice insurance (I mailed everything, but they haven't gotten it), call the B&B I got a Groupon for and see if I can book for our anniversary (30 years), work on office - mainly schoolwork area, and transcribe my pilot interviews (I've got Dragon coming today). Then pick what to pack, pack, and leave Monday. I did notify the airline that I might need help from an attendant - still not supposed to lift heavy and I get stiff after sitting, so walking can be slow until I get restretched.

              Dinner is spaghetti sauce with appropriate noodle sub or noodle depending on eater and salad.

              • Did some research for school. Having a very hard time getting motivated. Made spaghetti sauce. Washed a load of laundry. Gave myself immunotherapy. Eating some lunch and then it's bill pay time.

                      • Well I'm up at 0130 with a grumbly tummy. I was bad with eating yesterday - trying to elevate mood I think and worried about PM from Winencandy. She has not updated me and I can't get the situation off my mind. I'm so-tired, but with tummy am unable to relax to sleep. Really feel like I just need to up chuck to feel better.

                        I'm also worried about the 2 presentations I've got to have done by Friday. I can't get motivated to do them. I need to pass this semester as it is the second to last didactic semester before my comps.

                            • Went back to bed at 0430. Slept another 4 hours. Coffee and catching up.

                              Chili lime chicken wings ala Nom Nom Paleo for dinner tonight. Need to start marinating them in about an hour.

                              Today the goal is to transcribe my pilot interviews.
