  • End of day was better. Learned two things: not eating enough, make sure to get enough protein and better to take 1 pain pill every 4 hours then to try and go longer.

      • Slept relatively well. Up, DH got the girls food ready, so I just had to get bowl to ground, drinking coffee, pain level much better today. Hoping for a good day. DS is going to pick up lunch (steak salad) and make a grocery store run after work.

          • Thinking of you................ hoping for a day of improvement and less pain/discomfort. I may be facing shoulder surgery in the next year - so I'm taking notes

            • Hoping that today was good and tomorrow will be better! You are doing so well, it is still early days. I haven't had much surgery, but it is so easy to forget those pills until it is too late - or to misjudge the need. I think it's easier if someone is giving them to you, or at least asking you periodically.

              • Much better day today. Up 6ish to 11, nap, up 2-4, nap, up for dinner at 5. Still not eating a ton, but am trying to pack in protein.

                • Slept okay. Woke up a bit past midnight and should have taken T3 then. Went back to sleep and woke up very uncomfortable at 0500 took T3 and slept until a bit past 7. Got girls fed. Drinking coffee and watching TV. Another couple of healing days and I've got to start reading my homework.

                      • Same old same old. Waiting to feel more energy. Hoping by next week I will feel like stating readings for school. I'm so grateful I don't have to teach or go to work. I know it will all be worth it, but right now I want to hurry up and get there. Real world problems, I know, but that's where I am. Today I going to focus on rest and eating protein for healing.

                        • That's the best you can do......... Rest a lot and eat healthy.

                          Tick Tock Tick Tock........ sometimes it feels like those clocks couldn't go any slower! Do have any good books to read, or movies to watch?

                          • Whenever I've had general anesthesia, all I wanted to do for the next 7-10 days was sleep. Give it time, your energy will return!

                            • I've heard it can take up to 6 months to fully recover from the effect of anesthesia. I'm normally good after 3-4 days.

                              • Hope today was good! You are such a high energy, motivated person, I can imagine how hard it is to just take time out. But hopefully the weekend will be good and I hope the men are waiting on you and picking up the slack.
