              Morning BS was 138, really happy, two days in a row that my morning BS has been in the 130's. I can't began to tell you how excited I am about this. I have not had sugars like this since I became Primal and took myself of insulin. Would be nice to be able to isolate what exactly was the change that made the sugars come down.               1. No starches, this means no sweet potatoes or rice that I was eating. Those were occasionally.
              2. No fruit. This could be the one, I was eating fruit. Apples and strawberries were at the top of the list. Not a lot, of fruit, but enough.
              3. No Caffeine
              4. No Diary. I am cheating a little here. I am having a cup of Crio Bru in the mornings with a little bit of heavy whipping cream and I still use butter to fry my eggs. So diary might not be the problem, as this has not changed from what I was doing before.
              5. Taking all the supplements.
              I think giving up the "safe" starches and the fruit is the key. I really don't think hwc or butter have enough milk solids involved to make any impact. Chugging milk would be different. I'm glad you are dumping the caffeine. I don't know what effect if any it has on blood sugar, but it's overall just not doing your body any good long term.

                • Thanks everyone for your support. I know I keep saying that, but it means a lot to me. Every time I think about the Dr. telling me I "had ten years left to live and the last 5 were going to be miserable", and then I get the support for my online friends, it just make everything I am doing and going through much better.

                  • Day 18 Blood Sugar Solution

                    Morning BS = 158

                    Breakfast = Ultra smoothie

                    Lunch = Bowl of chili and LAS

                    Dinner = Steak, steamed veggies and a LAS

                    Exercise = 30 minute walk

                    I was feeling a little ill before dinner so I took my BS, it was down to 109.... Not used to my BS being that low, felt light headed.

                      • Day 19 Blood Sugar Solution

                        Morning BS was 127, yeah that is considered in the normal range. Got to be happy with that. Odd night sleeping, all sorts of weird dreams.... It is funny, when I prick the finger in the moring to take my BS, the three weeks ago the blood reminded me of Red Karro syrup, now it flows out of the finger like water.....

                        BTW, I am in a really frigging good mood today!!!!! Happy Friday.

                        Morning BS = 127

                        Breakfast = Ultra Smoothie

                        Exercise = Walked 30 minutes with my beautiful wife.

                            • Lol! I am keeping fingers crossed that the Hyman's recommendations will continue to improve your health. And, you know, it doesn't mean you won't be doing things differently when the situation changes.

                              I was wondering if you are allowing legumes in or keeping them out to align Hyman with Primal?

                                I was keeping them out. I aligned Hyman with Primal. Primal First.....
