  • Primal Journey - Go_Hard -

    Ok, it's about time I took this seriously so here's my Journal - It's not going to be rich on prose or anything but this looks like a good place to keep track of three of the most important Primal factors: Nutrition, Exercise & sleep -

    As of Monday, June 25th I'm 6'2", weigh 201.8lbs & have a 40.5" waist - I took a few 'before' pictures but I'm definitely keeping them to myself for now - They might make for a good success story some day!

    Let's call yesterday (June 26th) day 1:

    B: 150g Cajun chicken

    L: 280g minced beef in Puttanesca sauce, coconut oil & red onion

    D: Salad with 225g turkey, aioli, spinach, courgette, mature cheddar cheese, red wine vinager, hot sauce, jalapeno peppers, birds eye chillis, herbs+spices

    misc: 500ml green tea, 1 mug lemon & ginger tea, high strength multivitamin, vitamin C, Omega 3

    Exercise:
    30min cycle (commute to & from work), 30min brisk walk

    Sleep:
    8 hours, 23:20-07:20, woke up for a short while around 4:00


    Looking forward to the suger withdrawls over the next couple of days

    Day 2:

    B: 225g Turkey (raw weight) herbs+spices

    L: 280g minced beef in Puttanesca sauce, coconut oil & red onion

    S: handful of almonds

    S: natural yoghurt

    D: 3 medium egg omlette, 50g smoked bacon, red onion, coconut oil, green bell pepper, cheddar cheese, birds eye chillis, hot sauce, herbs+spices

    misc: 500ml green tea, 1 mug lemon & ginger tea, high strength multivitamin, vitamin C, Omega 3

    Exercise:
    30min cycle (commute to & from work), 30min brisk walk

    Sleep:
    8 hours, 23:30-07:30, woke up for a short while around 5:20 then again at 6:20

    Pretty tired around 4pm - That'd be the lack of sugar then..

      Day 3:

      B: Salad with 150g cajun chicken, aioli, spinach, courgette, cheddar cheese, red wine vinager, hot sauce, jalapeno peppers, birds eye chillis, herbs+spices

      L: red onion, red bell pepper, red cabbage, red wine vinegar (I'm seeing a pattern here), 2 pork chops, peppercorn butter, herbs + spices

      D: taco fries

      misc: 500ml green tea, 1 mug lemon & ginger tea, high strength multivitamin, vitamin C, Omega 3, 2 x vodka & diet coke, 7 x pint cider, 8 x rum & coke

      Exercise:
      30min cycle, 40min brisk walk, 45min circuit

      Sleep:
      4 hours, 5:00-9:50 (i think)

      taco fries wasn't part of the plan..

        L: 200g minced 10% beef in puttenesca sauce, red onion, coconut oil

        D: 2 pork chops, red cabbage, red onion, bell pepper, peppercorn butter

        misc: multivit, vit C, omega 3, 9 pints cider

        sleep: 7 hours, restless

          B: 3 egg omlette, 50g smoked bacon, coconut oil, red onion, bell pepper, chillis, cheddar cheese, hot sauce

          L: chicken, red onion, coconut oil, dijon mustard

          D: taco fries (possibly)

          misc: 1 mug lemon & ginger tea, multivit, vit c, omega 3, 1 bottle fortified wine, 3 bottles of mixed berry cider, 8 pints cider, few shots jager, assorted drinks

          exercise: short cycle

          sleep: 4 hours

            Day 6:

            B: chicken, red onion, coconut oil, dijon mustard, aioli

            L: sausages, mashed potatoe, gravy, onions

            S: quarter cheese & ham sandwich

            D: pizza, potato wedges, garlic, bbq & sweet chilli dip

            misc: multivit, vit c, omega 3, 1 can coke, 1 can fanta, 7 pints cider

            exercise: none

            sleep: 5 hours, very restless

            Ok, this was clearly a very bad week to start keeping a journal..

              Day 7:

              Right, I'm not even going to keep a record for today it was such a disaster - Usualy at this stage I'd erase the whole thing & start again from scratch - Not this time though - I'll keep going & hopefully look back on this post as a turning point - I couldn't mess up this badly again, it'd be too embarassing..

                sleep: 8 hours, restless (pretty sick at the moment)

                  L: 280g minced 10% beef in bolognaise sauce, red onion, coconut oil

                  D: 2 chicken breasts, red onion, coconut oil, spinache, courgette, basil pesto, parmesan cheese

                  misc: multivit, 5g vit C (still sick), omega 3, 500ml green tea

                  exercise: 30 minute walk, 1 hour cycling

                  sleep: 8 hours, restless

                    B: 150g chili & lime chicken, hot sauce

                    S: almonds

                    L: 280g minced 10% beef, bolognaise sauce, red onion, coconut oil

                    D: 2 pork chops, red onion, courgette, red cabbage, peppercorn butter

                    misc: multivit, vit C, omega 3, 500ml green tea

                    exercise: 30 minute cycle, 20 minute walk

                    sleep: 9 hours, waking from 6am on

                    measurements: 190.2lbs/86.4kg, 16.0% BF (dont trust my scales on that one, callipers give me a much higher %), waist 39 3/8'

                    So thats 11.6lbs down & an inch off the waist in 10 days - not bad but wonder what the numbers would have been if it was 80/20 instead of 50/50..

                      L: minced 10% beef, bolognaise sauce, red onion, coconut oil, hot sauce, parmesan

                      S: 20g Lindt 90%

                      D: 2 pork chops, red onion, courgette, red cabbage, peppercorn butter

                      misc: multivit, vit C, omega 3, mug lemon & ginger tea, mug rooibos & vanilla tea

                      exercise: 15 minute cycle, 20 minute circuit

                      sleep: 9 hours + lie-in

                            D: 3 egg omlette, red onion, green pepper, coconut oil, smoked bacon, cheese, hot sauce, birds eye chillis, herbs+spices

                            misc: multivit, vit c, omega 3, 500ml green tea, 2 x mug lemon & ginger tea

                            exercise: 40 minute cycle, 35 minute walk

                            sleep: 8 hours

                              S: 20g 90% Lindt

                              misc: multivit, vit c, omega 3, 500ml green tea

                              exercise: 30 minute cycle

                              sleep: 8 hours, 23:30 - 7:20, woke at 4am & 7am

                              I should track calories for a little while, I'm probably too low at the moment..
