    Washed the car yesterday and folded just about every piece of clothing in the house lol.
    Today DS and I are goofing around and going to get him some new swim trunks before our cruise. Need to go get his class ring sized -
    I am relaxing today I am going to attempt to read the conclusion of PB and look around for bathing suits for the cruise (gross)

      I just deleted everything I just typed - Today has not been a good day. i will not cave. I will stay strong and go get my salad get on with my day.
      Why do the ones that say they love you the most the ones who stompt their feet pout and not talk to you for days on end when you won't comply with their wishes? I'm talking about my DH. He can be such a brat. I love him but I swear he acts like a spoiled child on occasions. I just tell him to go cry about it. I don't have empathy cards

        Oh dear. I hope you guys can work things out well.

        Did I hear you say somewhere you were a resistance band trainer? I've been thinking about getting myself one, one of those ones with stirrups for both hands and feet. I'd like to add some element of strength training and anything that can be done gently, at home, and with minimal equipment is just the kind of thing I'm interested in. I would have to start very slowly and carefully - lots of issues with my shoulders as well as some arthritis so I'd kind of be feeling my way. What do you think? Would that be a good match for me, or should I just stick to Mark's basic movements? Which I haven't started yet.

          I'm no trainer but I use them
          I bought the ones from go fit gym It comes with a dvd and all of the necessary bands - light medium heavy and you can combine them to make more resistance. I will be taking them on my cruise also comes with a door anchor - pretty nifty little set of bands.
          I would like to get a set of the gravity straps - it's kind of like Trx training using your own body weight as the weight. i'd get one helluva workout! lol

          We will work it out we've been together going on 12 years he's just a brat sometimes. I have to remind myself we all have "babies" inside our heads that whine without thinking sometimes. i do it too. I just don't like babysitting lmao

            And Judg, I highly recommend Mark's free ebook download of the PBF. The exercises are scaled really well with levels that are good for anybody from weak as a kitten beginner to super stud and everything in between.

            Cmlloyd, you sound like you have your head on straight and have the determination to make this work. I wish you well.

              You're right, Paleobird. I've actually looked at it a bit, but the pull-ups have me pretty psyched out. I could start with the others though.

                Paleobird thanks for stopping in
                My pushups have been a gradual thing I have been working on i put my feet for in a V than straight back and it makes them easier for me. I push them out as fast as I can Mark says that when you do your reps the quick motions enables your muscles to respond better and build more muscle fiber. i'm surprised that I am actually able to do them like I have been I just stop pn my walks/hikes and do them right there. I do them fast too b/c if anyone were to come down the road and see me - hey check out the fat chick doing push ups. lol

                Judg - hey no worries here about pull ups anytime soon - I actually have P90x and they are BIG on the pull ups BUT if you want to simulate pull up muscles you take your bands and secure them to the door with the wedge that comes in the kit kneel on one knees and pull back so that your pulling a bar towards your chest from above. Almost the same back muscles are engaged to enable you to work into and assisted pull up eventually - progress not perfection

                Today i sit here and admire my new fridge - still in a funky mood as i can feel the hormonal changes and my girls are hurting - the fridge is HUGE. lol lots more space for my veggies and fruits and HUBS lovingly put all of them away in their little drawers. And the ice make makes the cutest little ice cubes. lol

                i need to get motivated - I have a day of BORING at work b/c I did most of my work yesterday we are very slow.
                My DSD had a procedure done on her leg the yesterday she had a BIG mass of veins lumped up on her leg that has cause her problems since she was little - her knee is twice the size of her other one. DH just forgets to tell me these things - i will call her tonight and get the story.
                Well we will have another heatwave today and that's too damn bad b/c I'm gonna walk anyway. just walk i won't try for the heat stroke today lol.

                    hoola Hooping will be fun they have the ones you can take apart as well so you can travel with them.
                    I am so sorry for the grammatical errors ya'll. My fingers sometimes get ahead of me with out meaning to.
                    Yesterday food wise was pretty good
                    b- yogurt/rasberries/almonds
                    l- chicken salad / cucumbers/tomatoes
                    s- strawberries
                    d - 3 egg omelet with onion/pepper/mozz cheese.

                    Walk/jog 3.6 miles /pushups again 24 regular thats all i could do, it was hot and I was pooped.
                    Came home ate dinner went to take out the BIL dog and came back was about 9pm said I'm done for the day got my hot shower and went to bed. it was one of those go to bed nights where you lay down glasses still on your face and you fall asleep. Hormones are hell.
                    I sit here with black coffee, I had to succumb to a Tylenol my head is pounding. I just tell myself what ever i weigh now will be less b/c i know I have water weight that is added b/c of my monthly gripe.
                    I have been reading the Paleo book I got and it's got some good points in it, but i don't think i make enough money just yet to fully follow all the rules of Paleo, I mean they have a restriction on salt, dairy, store bought meats. He speaks of meat that are wild are best, no salt because back in the day there wouldn't have been any, no dairy b/c cavemen didn't run around milking wild animals.
                    I feel if i totally get sucked into this "religion" I will alienate my family. not so much my son, b/c he loves fruits veggies and meat (he also likes the good things like pizza, mt dew, pasta he's from a line of Italians, go figure), but hubby - he would go off the deep end. he doesn't like crunchy food. His mommy never made him eat his veggies. DSD was like that until I got a hold of her. Now she LOVES salads, and raw veggies. unfortunately her mom's family believes chicken nuggets ad hotdogs are okay b/c they are quick and every body gets fed. DSD could stand to miss a few meals. But she takes care of herself and is not a sloppy person, but she could be such a hottie if she'd back away from all the frankenfoods.
                    but I digress.
                    I won't push my way on others, but i believe that DH and DSD may start to come around. Not right now, but in the future.
                    My second bathing suit should be here soon for the cruise. i can't wait. I have been going and getting tanned and getting things together for this cruise I'm so stoked.

                        BTW peeps - 186 flat this morning - another .5 lb down.
                        The next couple of days will be rest and eating light. I will probably IF tomorrow if we go out on Big Betty (our pontoon boat) it will be hot and there really isn't any point in eating when it's hot just makes you feel ill (well I do anyway)
                        17 more days till the cruise. I would like to be about 185 or less before I go.

                            Sounds like great progress. Personally I don't care what people think our ancestors did or didn't eat, or what it means for us today. I am interested in what the current science is and what works for me. And salt was such a highly valued commodity because, guess what, it is essential for life and good health, that our word salary is based on it. If you're not getting the overdoses you used to get in processed foods, you actually have to make a point of making sure you get enough. Why do you think farmers put out a block of salt for their cattle? (Hence the term salt lick.) Because they need it if there is no natural source around. So it really amazes me that the paleo people would be down on it. Makes no sense at all. But this is why I preferred Primal to Paleo. It's more pragmatic and reasonable.

                              I think the anti-salt thing is really old school Loren Cordain paleo. Makes no sense to me. I was in Africa (Tanzania, the home of Lucy) and there were lakes all around that would get a huge ring of salt crystals in the dry season so I think the argument that only coastal people would have had it doesn't hold up either.

                              I've been using a set of bands I got on line to help with pull ups. After mastectomy surgery, these are a real weak spot for me. The company is called Iron Woody's and so they are called Woody Bands. They are just like giant circular rubber bands that help support part of your weight while you work up to it. They come in a set of graduated thicknesses.

                                I once went on a field trip to Salzburg, where we got to go inside the mountain. The thing I remember most was being invited to lick the walls to taste the salt! (This was back in the seventies- they probably have hygiene concerns now . )
