Aaron, BRING IT ON! :P

Why would you assume I play an acoustic? Never assume things when it comes to me, I break the societal mold each and every time. Not to mention, assuming makes an ASS out of U and ME (aren't I clever?! 8)

I have a Sunburst Epiphone Les Paul, as electric as they come! I call it Paully, for obvious lack of creativity :]

So it's actually hard to play a lot of songs, but most of the ones I like involve orgasmic solos and fast rhythms (good luck with that, eh?).

Oh, don't get me started on the music I like... Have you not seen my shrine on fb? I like everything from Visual Kei to ancient Jazz. Very eclectic taste. Among my favourites are Jeff Buckley, Floyd, Rush, Gackt (don't ask), Placebo (funnily, their songs are easy to play!), Bikini Kill, Jack Off Jill and waaaaaay too many J-Rock bands! Oh and about thousands more I can't think of. I'll probably cry later for forgetting to mention them. They're all gods.

I don't know. You probably don't have acne prone skin, or do you? Has it improved since you stopped using soap? I don't use soap on my face so it wouldn't really matter. And I try to wash it once a day, not more than that, usually with water or 'natural remedy of the day'.

    Linds, thank you :]

Today I ate two steaks and a can of tuna in one sitting. And I had an urge to smother everything with a melted stick of butter.

    What. The. Hell?!

It's like Grok took over my body and made me do all these things!

Needless to say I got really sick after a while because of all the fat, but I'm better now.

I've been really depressed about my skin. I even cried for no reason at all (hormones?). It was bizarre.

Maybe because I didn't sleep at all last night either.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, I wish it gets better already!!!

I remembered that what got me started was an article by 'Sarah' on MDA where she said she used to have acne but now her face looks 'airbrushed' without makeup. I'd like to get my hands on her ><

    You know anything?

No I do not have acne prone skin.. though I really think that adding more chemicals isn't going to help. Could be wrong. Need to give it some time, girl - gotta let the primalness run its course, either way.

By the way, I know who Gackt is. Bahaha.

Are you a Satriani or Vai fanM. Can I call you Burger Queen?

      I am way too tired.

Only reason I made the assumption I did is that its way easier to start with an acoustic as it requires less overall investment. Also, it builds finger strength faster. And is generally badass.

I recently sold all my guitars to finance my massage school... an Epiphone SG, BC Rich Beast and a $1600 Martin studio acoustic, along with a Fender Bluesman reissue tube amp and a Boss effects board. Funnily enough I just dropped it because I canKt afford it regardless. Play my friendKs beat up old Alvarez now.

I can attest that learning the solos to 'Mother' and 'Comfortably Numb' are orgasm inducing.

      Keep on rockin'.

You don't like Oasis? hmm, could this be a problem for our 'marriage?' Actually, Im not a die-hard, but I've found some good piano sheet music for some of their songs.

Skin frustration sucks! Have you tried 'organic' face washes? They're not a miracle cure, but are a lot better than other crap out ther. Tea-tree oil especially is supposed to help with inflmammation.

btw, hows your summer lookin? I need a travel buddy to backpack canada/us. A primal tour des Meat-n-Ice, perhaps?

Aaron, please stop passing out in my journal.

(Oh, and just to warn you there are two giant feminist rants waiting for you at yours. If that's not a reason to pass out I don't know what is!)

How could you?! Your babieeeeeess! Your babieeeeeeeeeeeees!

If I had so many badass guitars I wouldn't sell them even if I was penniless. I would sleep in a carton box hugging them.

Yes, yes, easier. But Pauly wanted me, and I wanted him. And we had to be reunited. No acoustic guitar propositioned me like Pauly did, he was too charming.

I don't make decision based on practicality or logic, reading my journal you should know this by now.

And I'm not considering baking soda and coconut oil chemicals :P

But don't think I don't consider you a wise, Primal source of knowledge. I bought lye-less soap and when it's done I'v considered to not use it for a while, based on your advice :P

          Are you proud?

Iceskater, for you I'll convert! *plucking Wonderwall clumsily*

I see you have a new avater, how did you change it? :0

And you don't have to seduce me with hot avatars, I'm already all yours for the summer (due to serious lack for friends).

Though I don't have a job yet, and I can't fully commit to backpacking just yet.

How much would that cost anyways?

lol, meat-n-ice, sounds like a primal cocktail

            PiBdate:

I honestly don't remember anymore... but I was a good girl.

I didn't exercise yesterday or today... I don't feel like iiiiiiiiiiiiiit!

And I did have a giant shake with strawberries, blueberries and some leftover whipping cream (my skin will make me regret this later, don't worry).

And I put sunflower seed oil in my salad by mistake, and wondered why it tastes like shit.

Yesterday, I was extremely desperate and took out my secret crap stash.

(Crap Stash= a collection of old neglected skin care products, CW style; with a chock full o'chemicals)

Just to make it especially clear to people: I DON'T USE ANYTHING ON MY FACE THAT ISN'T EDIBLE. I WASH IT WITH BAKING SODA, HONEY, USE COCONUT OIL AND RED WINE VINEGAR. I don't wash my face with cleansers or anything like that, I haven't for a while.

But yesterday I brought out the big guns - alcohol. It had aloevera and wytch hazel so I didn't feel as bad about it. I used it to spot treat.

Today I woke up and my skin, everywhere, was all better! But I doubt it's all the shit I put on it, I think all the supplements and good food are doing it's thang'.

Oh, and the best news :]

            Guess who's back?

AUNT FLO IS BACK! IT'S BACK! THE BIG RED MONSTER!

Yeah. All too often I go against my gut and listen to society's impetus . I regret every time, so no more.

And I can't help it - I usually catch up on my MDA before bed, and your boundless enthusiasm and youthful exuberance just tire out my grumpy old bones.

Coconut oil is awesome, in every way imagineable. If they ship to Canada, I recommend Nutiva. Cheapest and best tasting I've had. I get it by the gallon.

I do tend to give a lot of unasked for advice. Its just my nature. By all means, if I'm being obnoxious tell me to shut the fuck up.

At any ratw, really hoping your skin issues start resolving soon. They're no fun, I know.

Complete aside: are you a Tool fan?

I will never tell you to shut the fuck up. I love your advice :]

Yes, I'm a Tool fan! But there was a time where A Perfect Circle were my favourite band EVER! Probably at 16. I had a thing for Baldy (their bald guitarist), I would watch their videos and kiss his bald head. My friend liked Maynard and we'd always argue :]

There's hope for the great frozen wastes north of the Bronx yet. You're not an Oasis fan.

From the liner notes of a Frank Zappa album:

                    Ridiculously Difficult Parts: Frank Zappa.

                    Impossible Parts: Steve Vai.

Skin condition is sometimes linked to Liver issues. I had unfun acne when I was a teenager, but it pretty much stopped. Although I still get the occasional zit from time to time. Not sure what woud help out, but I can empathize.

Congrats on getting your flo' back. Now quit dancing around so much or it'll look like a jackson pollack...

Ya, all right there Jenny from the block...

You probably listen to My Chemical Romance and think you're cool :P

Hahaha... like some girl once described it "a death by samurai scene"

Not to disrespect Vai, but have you seen Michael Angelo Batio?

That guy's hands move 800 miles an hour!

I'm sure he keeps his lady is happy :]

If you're into Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Pink Floyd, then I can't resist the urge to flog one of my favourite bands here.

Look up Rishloo, they're still pretty small, but they write awesome music. Almost all of their latest album - feathergun - is on last.fm, I highly recommend that you listen to it through. twice. come back and tell me what you think their previous album, Eidolon, has come closer than any other to tickling my Tool taste buds.

                        The beginning:

                        http://www.last.fm/music/Rishloo/Feathergun/

Michael Angelo Batio is particularly awesome. The first time I saw his double guitar solos I think my face was literally melted.

Apparently I suck at life, so I'm crowd-sourcing my decisions, and sharing what I learn.

Billy Howardell. Saw them back in the 2000 tour (first of 3 times I think?) With Snake River Conspiracy. Amaaazing. My best friend at the time got hit in the eye with one of Billy's guitar picks. Still has it. Sigh.

I recently just started listening to maynard again. after being on a really big classical/opera kick (I sang in a choir and was taking operatic voice lessons, don't judge me :P) and I've fallen madly in love with his later stuff (10,000 Days and eMotive). Can't believe I didn't like it before! started getting back into System of a Down and RatM too... its like being back in highschool again! Except I understand the music now and it drives me outta my fucking mind with anger. Quite interesting how songs like Vicarious make me emotional these days :P

I know its in here somewhere, but I've been internetting primarily on my phone for the past 2 weeks and its horribly inconvenient: how long has it been since your last period?

Yes, I ask all the pretty young twenty-somethings questions like that. Maybe that's why I'm still single.

Going to have to check out that Rishloo band when I can get my netbook to a coffee shop.

RatM? Now I'm judging. Never could understand the appeal there. System are pretty good though.

Vicarious is an incredibly emotional song, as is the whole album, I love 'Wings for Marie / 10,000 days', as well as 'Right in Two'

If you want a good intro to Rishloo for a stint in a coffee shop, listen to the track Downhill, it's a good place to start.

For my trip, I'm scraping together the sad remains of my student loans. I might not have a job by the end of it either, but I'm taking the risk (we can be jobless together). I just need a travel bud! No worries, I'll stop by Montreal in search of rabbit and korean bbq.

Good to hear about your monthly present coming back?! When I was irreguar, I didn't even miss it (freedom, at last!). But its 'healthier' to be regular, I suppose *curses god*

I've always enjoyed the intensity of Rage.

Zack's voice is interesting, the lyrics are quite good, and the instrumentals are fantastic. Tom Morello is an absolute fiend - very glad I got to see him play with Street Sweeper Social Club (mediocre overall, but Tom was fun to watch) during the NIN/Jane's Addiction tour last summer.

I'm a sucker for politically charged music. I'd argue that SoaD is a very similar beast, with instrumentals that aren't quite as clever but much better singing and more diversity in the song writing. Both bands consistently make me want to dropkick people in the face, and that's what its all about I think.

I adore Right In Two, really, really deep. Right now I'm kind of obsessed with Vicarious/Jambi and Lost Keys/Rosetta Stoned. I really love albums that actually have a flow to them - I really cannot justify listening to 10,000 Days on shuffle. Reminds me of the Wall, and how most of the tracks were made with the beginning of the next song at the end of the track previous. Heh.
