    • It didn't taste like aspartame to me. I know that sweetener anywhere. My younger self made the decision that wasn't for me. Blech. The fro yo itself wasn't too sweet, but it definitely wasn't dark chocolate. Tomorrow night with my group should be fun. I think I'll make sure to bring a snack for myself to munch on so I'm not tempted to eat whatever sweets might be there. Of course, I'll fill up on fats and protiens, and take some asorbic acid first. It's now up to my will power to steer me in the right direction!

      • Does Gabi like steak? Maybe that could be the new treat after concerts. Sounds like the yogurt was fun though.

Yep, choir is a heck of a lot easier than violins and pianos and clarinets and such. You can even practice in the shower and in the car!

        • You remind me that I've been wanting to look up the nutrition facts for the frozen yogurt place nearest to us. My favorite flavor is the original tart, although I am sure it still has plenty of sugar in it. Once I know how much, at least I can make an informed decision. Topped with fruit and nuts like yours was, I'm sure it can be an occasional indulgence.

I'm debating whether to keep it or not, but I did keep it tonight. I'm not sure how true they were to their word, but Orange Leaf had a gluten free and no sugar added chocolate fro yo. That, combined with blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, some walnuts, and coconut flakes (I'm sure those may have been slightly sweetened) made a tasty treat. I didn't want to go back for seconds and I managed to avoid craving my kids creation. Actually, all of the fro yo was gluten free tonight. So, I caved. I might need to find a new post concert tradition. We've been doing that since my brother was in orchestra.....
Sounds like a good treat to me, as long as it doesn't kick up your sugar cravings. We do have to have fun sometimes too, it's just a matter of finding the best way to do it!

            • Today, was for the most part, a pretty good day. It ended a little awkward at my Tues night group and I'm not sure what I'm going to do about this little situation, but I'm going to have to do something soon. I think I'm just frazzled because this was supposed to be my group for my actual age group, plus I'm a little uncomfortable now because someone "new" to my group has showed up that seems to be following me. I know, I know, it's just a group. It just kind of hit a nerve. I'm sure I'll figure out something, the right thing.

              Today
B: 3 pcs bacon and 2 fried eggs
S: 1 small avocado and macadamia nuts with some butter
L: 1 sausage with salad and homemade dressing
S: Several handfuls of nut mix (almonds, cashew, and pistachio's)
D: Roasted Grape and Onion Pork Chops | PaleOMG - Paleo Recipe
S: More of the nut mix
              Drinks: Water
Exercise: 10 minute trainer Yoga Flex and Total Body

I had to adjust the dinner recipe a little bit tonight. Natural Grocer's didn't have any red grapes, so I used green. I'm not sure if I roasted them long enough, but I am now a fan of roasted grapes. YUM! Towards the end of cooking the pork chops, I added some Sweet Pea Apple wine, like twice, and goat milk butter and made a little sauce. Yes, it tastes as good as it sounds. We had some steamed broccoli.

Side note, but a funny way to leave my evening: I was trying to find out where this high pitch ringing was coming from. I didn't find that out, but I find out I have an older neighbor who likes to leave his shades open while walking around in his briefs.
Keep in mind, I live in an apartment complex.

              • Ok, so, I'm thinking about entering some photography in the amateur division at the Tri State Fair this year. I'm also thinking that means I need to be outdoors quite a bit more and to make sure my batteries are charged and ready for some camera action. I LOVE to take pictures, if you couldn't tell. Now, maybe I might just do something with them.

                • Ok, gotta get my hair cut here in a bit, but I was wondering if you guys could, if you do, pray for this woman to have words of wisdom later on? I've got to take care of a situation. More like nip it in the bud. Thanks in advance

                  • That you may say all things you want to right when you want to (and not later as some of us do). Your goodness will shine through and you will stand up for yourself. And any other specifics you need in confronting something difficult.

A hair cut, eh! Your hair is beautiful like it is, but hair cuts can be fun -- and with your guys' temperatures!

Good luck on addressing your issue. You will do well.

                    • Prayers sent.

                      • Thank you ladies! Oh, my hair is still long Pam. I just haven't had a trim in over six months, so she had to cut like 4 inches. I need to go back in 10 weeks, like I used to do. I'm trying to grow it pretty long so I can get it cut for locks of love and still have length. Gabi got layers put in this time. Now that she's taking better care of her hair (yet not her bathroom), she can have them again.

I always hate confrontation, but it's done. I feel like a little bit of a bad person, but I think when this sort of stuff happens most of us do. I'm not one to take too lightly to people making me feel uncomfortable where I should feel safe. It got to the point where I was concerned and I had to nip it.

Work also wasn't the best today, but as my manager puts it: "It is what it is sometimes" I'm praying tomorrow will go better for all of us.

I got a new book today. It's the latest paperback from one Janet Evonovich. Yeap, my new mind fodder book. Hopefully I can control myself and not try to stay up all night reading it. I did have to force myself to leave B&N earlier because my rear was getting numb on the chair while I was reading, lol.

Today's food was a little all over the place, but not completely
B: 4 pcs bacon and 2 fried eggs
S: Avocado with sour cream and macadamias with melted butter
L: Leftover steak and some of those delicious roasted grapes and red onions. I put sour cream on almost everything....Might have gone a little overboard, but it was tasty.
S: Mixed nuts and pretty much the rest of the goat cheese. There wasn't that much left.
D: 1 hamburger and some of Gabi's gluten free crackers with some goat milk butter
Drinks: Ohhhh, I had a mixed drink today at the hair salon. Mmmm, mikes margarita in lime. I know, I shouldn't have done that and I pretty much never take the alcohol offered when getting a hair cut or waiting. Tonight, I sort of wanted one. I had an unsweetened iced to at B&N and a small sip of whatever frapp Gabi was having. The rest was water today

Okay, I think the asorbic acid, along with the high fat and high protein is helping. I'm sure I'm eating more fat right now, but it's doing the trick for the most part. I didn't actually crave Gabi's drink and even upon entering the cafe, the sweets didn't seem to bother me. Of course, the fact that I was there to talk to someone about something might have lead to distraction. I did go back in there after leaving because Gabi and I found books and she wanted a frapp. Still, not much of a problem.

Well, I'm going to attempt an earlier bed time. Thank you again for the prayers.

                          • Well, I'd say you had a good day yesterday. The confrontation was necessary. (It is odd how we feel yucky when we have to do those necessary things.) Work will definitely be better today. Gabi and you look even more beautiful. Young people's bathrooms are meant to be messy. I mean, a young person with a continually neat bathroom might be a sign of psychological problems! Don't tell Gabi I said that. You still gotta' fight for a clean bathroom:-) The food looks yummy, and best of all, you did the same thing I did yesterday at B and N. I didn't get to sit though. Luke wanted to get home! But I did grab some fun-looking books to go along with some of the too heavy stuff I sometimes read.

So, I'll think about your work going better today. Hey, I just thought. Everything under your control went well yesterday! Work is something that -- more often than not -- is not under one's control.

Oh, I forgot, pictures of you and Gabi with new haircuts would be nice. Uh, oh! You're a photographer so now we are going to expect lots of nice photos on here:-)
