      • Hi,
        I just started your journal today and i am learning so much from you. I am also a runner and am learning you can't out run a bad diet. I am only on the third page but we sound so much alike. I am buying Mark's book tonight and will start a journal here tomorrow. I had one a while back when i started and after a week caved..i am so bad about that..but i have been wheat free since the first of this month so i think i will give this another try

        Anyway i just wanted to say hi

              • Hey guys... I'm not a religious type person so I don't normally ask this kind of favor but if you could, please say a prayer for my dad. He went to the ER tonight with what I suspect is deep vein thrombosis. If that's it, I know what they'll do to treat him and chances are he'll be fine, but if you could say a prayer or send well wishes or keep him in your thoughts or whatever, I'd truly appreciate it. We can never be too cautious or conservative with well wishes and prayers.

                  • Thanks, Donna. Based on his symptoms, it's very likely DVT. I just hope they do more for him than they did our friend, Billy, whose DVT reached his groin before they treated it. He was bed ridden for WEEKS before they finally gave him meds for it. I'll lose my shit if they dick around like that with my dad.

                    • Just heard from stepmom. It IS DVT and it's a fairly significant one so they are giving him heparin and keeping him overnight in case it breaks loose and causes other problems. I am ditching work and going to the hospital to see him tomorrow. I am scared shitless. I hope it goes away without incident.
