    • Hey, jenn26point2--

You could post your food list on here. That would keep you from being bored! I'd love to see it.

      • Oh, gosh, do you feel better too when not exercising. I just feel peaceful and relaxed when I don't exercise! Like my body, mind, and soul are happy. It could be I overworked the body for too many years with heavy bales of hay and sacks of oats and building fences and stuff! Wonder if I could eat right and have fun and not exercise AND lose weight. Hmmm! Happy day that would be. I mean I read, I study, I read, I study, I read, I study. I move around a bit too. Maybe if I could just hang on the pull up bar every time I got through my bedroom door that would do the trick:-)

        What do you think?

            • Your food looks yummy.

That's a lot of vitamins:-) My mom takes them by the bowlful. I always wonder how she can eat breakfast after them. I think I'd be full.

              Love your "other" list!

I should probably edit my list! I really relate to living documents.

Okay, gotta get out and take my walk before it gets dark. Been lazy today!

                • @ Judg, SW = starting weight, UGW = ultimate goal weight, PSW = Primal starting weight, LPW = lowest primal weight.

Pam, the long list of vitamins under "StressB + Iron" is one pill with all that stuff in it. It seemed more beneficial to list out the individual vitamins and minerals.

I HAVE to take the cod liver oil before I eat or I'll burp up fish for about 2 hours. It's rather gross. Very strong fish taste. And yes, after the vitamins and the gulps of water or tea to wash them down and I'm pretty well full, but I still eat b/c of the burp factor. Yuck!

                  • I knew I was weird. Love the CLO taste. I bite the capsule so I can taste it -- or enjoy the teaspoon fulls! Something even stranger. I don't care much for fish!

                      • Okay, now I get it. I've always been bad with acronyms, just like I am with hand gestures. This frustrates my husband immensely. He's Italian, and they communicate a lot with hand gestures and I just never get them, even after all these years. I get confused reading Mark Sisson's stuff too; he loves his acronyms.

It sounds like your weight journey is pretty much going to mirror mine, almost the same start and end points. Dropping below 200 was such a thrill, that's when I discovered I actually had bones underneath all that padding. LOL!

Lopi, that is a tad bizarre, but I figure everybody is entitled to a few quirks. I'm wondering if I'm going to need fish oils, or if the flaxseed and walnuts I've been counting on will be enough for my Omega-3s.

                        • Oops... failed to bring my vitamins to work today... that's because I didn't pack a lunch. We ate out last night (I had grilled chicken from KFC with mashed potatoes and coleslaw... really bad but could have been WAY worse - read: long john silver's greasy fish and fries). So, I decided I would go to the cafeteria and get lunch and breakfast today.

                          Breakfast:
2 egg omelet with green peppers, mushrooms, onion and cheese with 3 sausage links

                          Lunch:
I actually went to a local grocery store that has a relatively decent deli/kitchen. I got an herbed chicken dinner which was a breast and leg with skin on seasoned and baked, with whole baby potatoes and steamed carrots. I also got some raspberries and coconut milk, and some 'seven layer salad'. The salad wasn't that great, so I only ate a couple of bites and pitched the rest. Ate all of the potatoes, roughly half of the chicken and 3/4 of the carrots. Put the rest in the fridge for tomorrow.

                          Dinner? I don't know yet.

I'm thinking about starting Fast-5. I'd have my eating window between 4 and 9 or 5 and 10 - that way my family would see me eating dinner and not question anything. I like the philosophy behind it but haven't read the book yet. The book is free, by the way. Go to Welcome to the Fast-5 website | Fast-5 Life (I think that's the address... google it if it's not) and you can get the book for free. It's a 67 page pdf file. I think I'll start reading this afternoon and see what I think. I know that fasting is where the fat loss comes in at... and when I weighed 140-150 all those years, I only ate one meal a day (McDonalds, but still only 1 meal a day) and felt fine. Wonder if I could pull that off again. Groceries would be less expensive!! lol

I bought a potted gerber daisy for my desk at work. My office is really ugly (Army office) and wanted to cheer things up a bit... is it odd that I see the daisy foliage as being a salad fixin'???

ROTFL...I guess if you got hungry & needed a snack you could nibble on the leaves! This cracked me up! You are a true Grok now!!! There are some flowers you can eat you know...but I don't know if daisy's are one.

                            have a great day!

                            • I know you can eat dandelions and we have a whole FIELD of them in our yard! I have thought about picking the leaves and testing them for tastiness... The idea of eating this plant did cross my mind, I won't lie... and that was AFTER I ate my lunch...

Ok, so I read The Fast-5 Diet book. So glad it was available on pdf for free b/c it was defintely not worth any money. It's a true "diet" book. He talks about how fasting for 19 hours a day can be a diet or a lifestyle, however you choose it to be, but he recommended drinking diet sodas and what not during the fasting period. He said you can eat whatever you want during your 5 hour window - to include junk.

I'm going to read up on what MARK says about fasting and go from there.

                              • You can put the yellow flower-leaves of dandelions in your salad, or you can eat the grean leaves (in spring before they bloom) and sauté with some garlic in olive oil. Rose petals can be eaten too, and marigold.
