  • So glad to know that life is good and that homeschooling was the right thing to do for your family. Good to "see" you again.

    • Your journal is so inspiring! I too have had to deal with "reverse-weightism", people telling me that I looked skeletal or like I would blow away in a strong breeze when I was a lower weight. Very weird.

Anyway, I'm recently back to PB, and I'm inspired by your yoga journey to recommit to yoga.

        • Thank you friends!

          On a less awesome note:

I ate pizza. It was delicious. My body hates me.

My sons and I, along with my parents, my brother and his girlfriend, had been helping my brother and his sweet preggy wife move for hours. They bought pizza, Tropicana (HCFS with 5% juice in it), a veg platter, and cookies to thank us all. My kids were starving, I was starving, it was a holiday, and we dug in. I'm not proud of it, but I own it. The pizza was yummy. It didn't take long until I was lightheaded, short of breath and nauseous. I've been slightly down lately, but I dreamed horribly depressing dreams last night and woke up foggy-headed, pessimistic and nauseous, with a tender belly and painful guts. I'm thinking gluten cheats are just SO not worth it for me. I regret whatever damage may have occurred. Guh. I have no clue how I lived feeling this way every day before primal. I just want a nap.

          • I experienced the same thing except our pizza chaser was cheesecake. All non-Primal, of course. Sharp stabbing pains even before we were done eating. It definitely confirmed why we don't want to eat that way any more.

            • HEY!!!
I'm alive! I missed you guys!

Happy 2 years Primal to warlordblade and me!

There is too much to try to sum up all that has happened in the past 7ish months.
I'm just gonna throw some highlight pics on here and call it good. Hopefully I'll remember to check in a little more often than I have been.

Spartan Beast: 12+ miles with tons of vert, massively tough obstacles and feats of strength, 104 degree weather, and amazing friends to get me through it. So humbling.

An obsession with waterfalls... and showering in them.

Ragnar Trails SnowBasin: Trail relay with my siblings. 16+ miles. Run, eat, sleep a little, repeat.

Mount Timpanogos Summit: Elevation 11,752 ft. 15 miles of running, over 4500 ft of vertical gain. Epic way to ring in 31, with my love and my bro and sis in law. Good times.

Dugway Isolation 30k: 19 miles, almost 3000 ft of vert. Mountains and Desert. Did it on a whim. WLB's brother Matt decided to hang back and get me through it. Humbling and amazing.

              To be continued...

              • I won my age group in that 30k... by default. I was the only one in my age group who didn't drop to the 20k.
WLB won his age group as well, and took 3rd overall in the 50k.

Crewed WLB in the Pony Express 50 Mile race. Paced him for 9+ miles. He smashed his goals and we had a blast crewing out in the middle of nowhere!

Family Trip to Moab and the Moab Trail Half Marathon. So dang much fun.

Snow and Ice. Winter running holds such amazing surprises.

And of course, I "Graduated" my Yoga Teacher Training Program.

There is so much I missed in there. More mountain summits, more family trips, more trail miles, more adventures, many more waterfalls. I can't put it all into words. The friends we've gained, the relationships we've solidified, the fun, the tears, the fullness to bursting. Life is so good.
I hope everyone else well and happy in the new year! <3

                  • What an awesome year you guys had! You were missed, by the way. I think it is wonderful that your kids are growing up with such good role models for life.
