  • Happy (belated) birthday, Sabine!

My DS1 was due on the 22nd and was born the 26th (january), DS2 was due on 31st and born on 26th (May), DS3 was due on a 26th, and although doc told me I wouldn't get to this date and he would be born early...he was actually born (induced birth!) 10 days late (November 5th)!

I have osteo-chondritis (otherwise known as a joint mouse) in my right knee...so it doesn't bend much when I walk. I can sit down & it bends...slowly...but something about the movement of walking normally won't work. Those of you old enough to remember...I walk very similar to Chester on Gunsmoke! I actually need a knee replacement...but ain't gonna happen with no insurance. *sigh* Guess I just am gonna have to swing my kettleball more often.

I hope you had a fantastic birthday today sabine!!!
Is swimming an option for you?

I like walking and try to do a fair bit, but I can't do an hour in one shot, or I will be immobile for two weeks afterwards. So I won't be taking up this challenge. It is already part of my daily mindset to see where I can work in some exercise; I will just try to be more diligent with that. I'm still trying to figure out how to work in strength training and the occasional sprint.

Sabine, was that the pizza recipe from MDA? My crust didn't work out as expected either. The dough was thick and sticky, instead of runny like it was supposed to be. I'm going to try again, but if it doesn't work I'll be scouting out other options.

          • On no, that was take-out pizza! It was a VERY non-primal meal. Put a check in the 20% box.

            • How's the challenge going? I walked two hours today. And I'll have you know, I walked by a doughnut bakery...and kept walking!

              • Great job, Siobhan! I walked for 46 minutes so far. I think I might be walking with my sister later, so that'll be another 20 minutes (another mile).

                  And now, Siobhan, too!

Okay, I'll do it if most of you will.

                          • A short day today. You know why.

                            Yesterday:

                            Up at 5:30
                            Vitamins

                            8:00 bacon egg cup

                            10:30 2 brownies
                            vanilla ice cream

                            90 minutes walking

                            Water: 8 glasses

just broth for the rest of the day

                            Bed at 10:00

My system is upset with me, but that's expected. Guess I will have to come up with more primal options for my next celebration, because this really isn't worth it.

Oh, and may I say: POISON IVY, YOU ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY!
