  • Sabine, if you are having a hard time keeping on the wagon just go back over some pages of your journal and see if that gives you a boost in the right direction I have a very similar problem. Me + moderation just don't seem to go well together. I would rather fast and then eat a big meal, than eat a couple small meals that don't feel satisfying... Just me. It would be wonderful to be able to take just one bite of chocolate and be able to walk away until another day .... my form of moderation is to share my bar of chocolate with hubby so that I only get half!! Otherwise the whole thing makes it into my belly

    • The mornay sauce was good, but I will add some mustard to it the next time I have it with pork. As is, I think it would be good on chicken and vegetables. Or, you know, toast!

          • I do NOT miss toast. My Honey makes himself a slice every day, and I am so sick of toast. Toast, toast, toast! The melted butter is the only good part. And the jam. Or mornay sauce.

                Careful what you ask for

Your project lists always make me feel like I'm not doing anything. I'm in awe of your lists!

I don't miss toast either. I agree, it was only good as a transport method

                • PrimalCajun - I miss her too. Hope all is well.

Lexie = On facebook. Doing well. Not sure if she's still doing Primal, but I see posts from her periodically.

Lopisheep - I miss her too. Hope all is well.

                  GrumpyOldGuy-oilworker - don't know this person.

                  Betorq - or this one.

PrimalPapa - He gave up on Primal b/c it didn't give him the results he wanted - in relation to weight loss and type II.

                    • Grumpy was originally PrimalChild, one of the old timers when I got here. He bowed out when he saw where the forum was going. Still primal, I'd wager. I think he also went back to school.
Betorq joined roughly the same time I did, I think. I think he bailed when the forums were no longer useful to him. Still primal as well, I think.

                      • I think PrimalPapa stopped when he only lost ten pounds after four months. Hiis focus was weightloss rather than health.

When his A1C and weight didn't improve, he got frustrated. Yes, only 4 months. I wish he'd stuck with it. I think he said he was going to follow the "diabetes diet" prescribed by his doctor.

                          • Yes, I don't think he gave it very long, especially considering all the benefits he DID get from it. He was fun to read, too. Oh, well. Grumpyoldman gave us a heads up: he was going to be in a situation where he could only check his email every week, and didn't feel like he wanted to keep his journal up. So...he said good-bye, but I still miss him. I never saw Betorq after he moved back to California. Hopefully he's just super busy with the change and will poke his head back in. PrimalCajun was the first person to ever 'speak' to me on the forums. She just doesn't come around, i guess. I hope she's not in jail for killing her mother-in-law.

I am off on another college visit in a few minutes. Wish me luck. It is not so much the time away, but the day or two after I get home. My mind seems to feel it deserves 'treats' when I've been travelling, or politely passing up things that, though delicious, WILL MAKE ME FEEL LIKE CRAP, FOR GOODNESS SAKE, DON'T GO THERE AGAIN! Where are my WonderWoman bracelets when I need them?!?

Oh, and I didn't post how yesterday went. Well, not sure I'll have time before my ride gets here, but I essentially ate meat and plants, walked for an hour, and slept. If only all days were so easy.

                            Have a good weekend, All!
