  • Quick overview of the last few days.

    - enjoyed being at the lake for the first time in a few years. enjoyed just piddling, enjoyed skiing (and felt better doing it than in YEARS), enjoyed socializing (more than usual, anyway, lol), looked forward to having friends there.
    - CRAZY on Sunday, suddenly at around 9:45 am, I got a huge urge to sleep, and took a 2hr nap!! No idea why. Arms softer that day.
    - last night was 138 & looked around 4mo pg, woke up more deflated than in a long while, could see a third of my six pack, lol, weighed 137 (was still quite swollen on the wrists), and felt great all day. I haven't had supplements other than thyrogold & SeaGest since last week, and even those forgot the last day or two.

    Then, at 5 I was suddenly crazy for food and silly me, having just come back from being gone 3 days, had nothing prepared to eat. Ate kids' sausage, figuring that since carnitas (marinated in COKE!!!! YIKES!!! WHO DOES THAT?!?!) & almost definitely slightly-tainted-with-cheese spinach didn't harm me last night, that maybe I'd make it through.

    About 45m later, I was grumpy, headachey, wanted to sleep and cry, and just miserable. The bloating began, and over another hour, most of the badness wore off, but the bloating got worse. Now 4-5mo pg looking and confused. We'll see whatthe morning brings.

    If it was the sausage, I know there was sugar in last night's meat, but maybe less? Or could it really have been the tiny amount of cayenne? (this is *not* spicy sausage)

    so so so so frustrating. I really can't let up a bit.

    GOTTA order some pet burger from US Wellness tomorrow b/c I"m all out of sausages I can eat at home, and need something I can eat in the morning instead of going through all our pork chops!

        - bloating - barely 3mo morning, 4-5mo this evening, but WEIGHED 5lb MORE THAN THIS MORNING!! WHAT?!?!
        - skin = upper arms less bumpy; other skin super soft
        - once again woke shortly after falling asleep, suddenly felt a drastic change that let me know I'd be staying awake and instantly had RLS in right leg again, with spinny mind. So weird. What is causing this? No DHEA or late tea this time! Woke up w/o a headache for the irst time in ages, though, although still somewhat sleep after 8hrs total sleep. Needed nap by 1, but the feeling passed before I could get one.
        - runs an hour or so after meals a lot lately, like I'm taking HCl, but I'm not. Why?

          - energy 6/10; mood 6-4.5/10 (a bit low mid-evening)
          - bloating - not nearly so much as the 3lb extra might predict
          - skin = upper arms even less bumpy; other skin super soft
          - in bed 10:45-8:45. Same pattern: sleep for a while, wake slowly, then wide awake with right leg RLS & spinny mind (that not so bad this time), plus the stomach heaviness progressing to cramps I often get, but then sleep and elimination only hours later, followed by another awake bout. Strangely, I was pretty awake at 7:45, surprised it was that early, and slept on and off for another hour. Woke for the second day without the heaviness/headache I've had on waking in my upper head, to varying degrees, for as long as I can remember.
          - still runny after some meals

          • I need to do some detective work.

            Possible reasons I gained 5lb in 12hrs yesterday:
            - cumulative FODMAPs from previous day's sausage (trace sugar, trace cayenne) & bacon (trace sugar) & trace onions (tried to avoid), the morning's bacon (trace sugar) & trace onions again, and dinner's lamb shoulder (unavoidable, b/c not chunks of, garlic)
            - intolerance of thyrogold, the only supplement I'm still taking, and was off for a few days
            - the gods
            - Just the sausage, but delayed
            - delayed reaction to trace butter 3 days ago and trace cheese 2 days ago


            Possible reasons for runs an hour or so after meals, even though I'm not taking HCl, long ago adapted to 3T CO/day, and this pattern had stopped months ago when I got rid of all dairy:
            - trace dairy previously mentioned (I think it started before this, though)
            - IBS (I don't believe this is without a root cause, or cure, though, so why?)
            - SIBO
            - too much fat for my fat intolerance level (never had this problem before, though?)
            - sudden inability to tolerate 3T CO in the morning (but having th eproblem at night, too)

            I do think the bloating, runs, and night waking/RLS/cramps are all tied, and the same solution will address all.

            Why on earth would RLS go along with the spinny mind & cramping?? What could be triggering that?

              - slept 11-7:45, brief spinny/RLS incident soon after getting drowsy (don't think I had yet fallen asleep), but didn't last long. Sleepy around 3pm.

                    Agh. I did it again. Ate some breakfast sausage tonight b/c I needed something quick to eat.

                    1hr later, I started getting a weird thick/heavy head feeling and just wanted to eat more and sit and now am really grumpy 3hrs later.


                    Coincidence?

                    WHAT COULD BE DOING THIS?

                    It's not just sugar. Can cayenne do this? I can't see how. Not a symptom of nightshades I'ev ever seen.

                        D - ground beef w/ cumin, cinnamon, oregano, fat. Taste of artisan jam (blackberry, honey, that's it). Scraped insides out of a "dairy-free ice cream sandwich" whether the goobernuggets didn't realize that very few people are dairy few but can tolerate wheat. 'Twas okay, but nothing worth writing home about. REALLY did feel the need to keep eating, though, strangely. One strawberry.

                        - energy ***7***/10 (really just want to keep moving, stay off computer, and get stuff done, but still don't want to run or do SimpleFit at all); mood 6/10

                          - ate at 3:30, even though not really hungry. WANTED to eat. Wanted to keep eating, so I just made it dinner. Am still VERY full and bloated at 8:15. Pork sausage didn't give me a headache or grumpiness, but definitely bloated.

                          I'm getting very, very tired of being so restricted in my eating, and really am finding myself on the verge of splurging on some cheesy spaghetti meat or something. I have to figure out what the MUST NOTs are, and I think that means wheat & dairy for sure, but eggs? nightshades? tomatoes for sure. potatoes? sweet potatoes? raw veggies? FODMAP fruits & veggies? I don't seem to be able to get rid of the bloat no matter what I do, so am I just depriving myself of variety for no reason?

                          I just don't know.

                          I'm also very frustrated about my meat options b/c I'm running out of pork and my cow farmer isn't responding to my phone calls about my next order...

Keep varying between "definitely don't need lunch" and "do need lunch" and don't know what to do. At lunchtime I was decidedly NOT hungry or in any mood to eat.

                                D - made it through 4pm hunger w/ tea. thin slice **breakfast** sausage, ham hock, brisket, spoon of quality BBQ sauce (makes something giddy to think of it, even though it was so little; will this ever stop?); swiss chard; carrot/zuke/trace cabbage w/ BUTTER (before I remembered it had it). Enjoyed looking like I had a real dinner on my plate instead of just meat.
