    Results
    - energy 5/10
    - bloating = ~2mo morning, very surprised after 5mo look before bed! 4mo a while after dinner. SIX POUNDS HEAVIER THAN THIS MORNING!!!!!Calf is 3/4" bigger & thigh 1/2" bigger than this morning. WHAT?!?!
    - skin = smoooooooth, elbows much smoother again. Almost no hair on upper arms!
    - slept hard from 10:50-2:50am. Woke up for way over an hour. What the heck?!?! SUCKED. Slept till 9 after that. Exhibit two for mid-night wake-up after eating a dinner that was much more protein than fat & carbs.
    - voice a bit scratchy. Alternated blockage & drainage all night. Full-fledged cold by dinner, but haven't lost my voice. It's not lovely at all, but it's still there, which was unheard of pre-primal.
    - I think I have a canker sore. Never had one before, that I can remember!
    - could not wait for dinner Just made me some ground beef and scarfed it down.

    Call me daring, but I'm going to add butter oil capsules today. TIRED OF HURTING TEETH AT NIGHT!! (oops, forgot)

      • I order fermented cod liver oil from Green Pastures. They also sell butter oil, which is basically butter that has been centrifuged so only the oil is used. No whey, casein, or lactose. Similar in benefits to ghee, but it's so concentrated you only take 1/2 or 1 tsp/day. I have some caps on hand, which will make it easy to take just 1/8tsp/day at first and see if I get any reactions.

        Just ordered blue-blocking glasses (for evening tv-watching, dh is so gonna laugh at me), an inexpensive infrared thermometer (for measuring skin & water temp, but also frying & yogurt-milk-heating & oh boy what fun!), & lemon wraps along with the batteries. I saw these at a restaurant, GREAT solution for keeping seeds out of things you squeeze lemon into!

          I got my IF thermometer yesterday and can't wait to measure my skin temp after my CT. Which glasses did you get? That was going to be my next investment.

          So I looked at the list of veggies that are allowed on FODMAP and between keeping fibrous veggies out for GAPS reasons, things I can't digest like lettuce, night shades, and trying to stay low sugar (unless it's fermented), it looks like all I could eat is bok choy and green beans. I am following the list below. Is that the one you are using?

          • I made a list and can't find it right now (classic for me), but I'm having bok choy, spinach, carrots (they don't seem to trigger craviness for me anymore), celery (haven't had it, but it's on my list), green beans (well cooked), cauliflower, parsnip, rutabaga, turnip, swiss chard, yellow squash, zucchini, collard & cousins ... as I recall. Mostly, I'm having yellow squash, greens, & fermented cuke/cauli/carrot/cabbage.

            My list came from the "FODMAP okay" list (which I found in lots of places online), -nightshades -starchy -things you have to eat raw, iirc.

            ETA I got the cheap $9 glasses at amazon and the cheap $16 therm at amazon.

              - slept decently from 11:30-8:15. Woke up for about 20m mid-night. Wicked head cold in the front top of my head. Was colder than usual. Need nap by noon. Slept 30m around 2. Cold seems to be dissipating by evening?
              - voice a bit scratchy.
              - Had that mouth sore two days; gone today.
              - calf back to normal & thigh halfway back, wrist swollen still FIVE POUNDS over yesterday morning. Cayenne or lack of HCl?

              Holding off on butter oil till this weird weight is gone.

                Thanks for listing those. See, that's what I hate. You look up a food list for something like this and you get different opinions. The lists I saw excluded cauliflower and zucchini, which I love and eat. I also talked to my doctor yesterday and finally asked her about oxalates. I have had the organic acid test and the woman who runs the low oxalate Yahoo group felt that my body was making oxalates although with a just meat and fat diet I wasn't eating any. She had some really good arguments why I should be adding veggies back in. Anyway, my doctor said most if not all of her chronic Lymies have oxalate issues and need to stick to a low ox diet. She sent me a chart with foods I should eat, are ok to eat, and that I should avoid. Between that and FODMAP I think there were no veggies. LOL

                Maybe I should just get the fructose malabsorption test done.

                I got the $16 thermometer as well. My skin temp was only 59 last night. Bummer! I was in for 40 minutes and did not enjoy it. Went to sleep in flannel pajama pants and a sweatshirt because I was so cold. Then I woke up around midnight horribly warm. Ha!

                I am going to order the cheap glasses as well. ****Off to Amazon.com I go.

                  • after eating coconut manna (no more than 12g carbs total),

                    - first, stronger pulse & slightly woozy in the head. Then
                    - higher pulse (~96) and tight feeling in the side of my face, then
                    - noticed lymph glands strongly under ear. Then
                    - felt face flush & nose got stuffy. Suddenly remembered the way I felt for years. Very dry.
                    - A while later, nose starting running profusely.
                    - Someone asked if I was sunburned!
                    - Felt fairly tired, bloated, & beaten the rest of the night.

                    Is this an allergic reaction?
                    I've had coconut milk, coconut cream, shredded coconut, and pure coconut with nothing like this!

                      - skin = very smooth. bumpiness going down

                      • I had the manna again today, and saw a typical addictive pattern for me - DD started screaming in the middle of me eating, and I got ticked off and just ate way more than I meant to. Obviously I wont' be buying any more coconut manna.

                        But I didn't get the crazy symptoms of yesterday. I did get a woozy head (that upper head & around-the-lymph-nodes wooziness) after a ton of it and about half hour later, but that's isn't surprising given that it had about 25g carbs in it.

                        I also have a pattern that needs to stop - being starved at 5:30 (usually comes on suddenly, but today I had been hungry since noon and just stifled it for a few hours wiht liquid till that stopped working - no shock given the lack of real meat for breakfast), and starting dinner then, and eating all the way through till the family's dinner is over. I don't eat a ton, just over too long a period. Today it was from 6 till 8. Not good.

                        On the good side, though, my rings are driving me crazy while typing bc they're spinning around my fingers, and I've had steady, low-level energy increase all week. WONDERFUL sign!

                          - slept hard from 11-7:30, felt decent when I woke, overwhelmed by sleepiness by 10:45am.
                          - had some of that "so full it's hard to breathe feeling in the stomach area under my lungs when I got up (before eating). After finishng what I have of the manna, I won't buy it again. Not for years, anyway.

                          It does frighten me that I still have such a strong addictive response with even just a little bit of something a (very) little bit carby. The urges aren't there unless I have some; then they're overwhelming. What is so different after having it than before, and how do I heal the "after," too, so I can be a normal person and have a spoonful of coconut milk again?

Might have accidentallyl gotten crumb of potato since they dissolved more than I intended and broken apart into the broth. One slice bkfst sausage (w/ cayenne) - felt I needed something treat-y to finish my meal, and went with the least damaging option.

                            • Coconut manna is GONE, thank goodness. Only 90g carbs in the whole jar, so I had no more than 25 each day, but it always made me woozy and addictive (until today, I really was done with it and had to force it down). 750 cal per day, though, lol.

                              I had forgotten that insufficient vit C could lead to easy bruising. That could be my issue. At the same time, the explanations talk about how it leads to fragile capillary walls that could mean you bruise easily when lightly bumped, but I can tell you, these bruises are *not* from being touched in any way.

                                - lots of pimples the last few days. Normal at first (tiny, on top of skin), now bigger, more under skin, more painful (cystic?), mostly on forehead, some near mouth. Maybe 5 or 6 total = lots for me! Okay, a few more by night
                                - thinking about primal sweets several times today. Nipping that before vacay...
