  • I haven't tried it, but that's what I thought of when the speaker talked about fish peptides, remembering that hazyjane had mentioned it. I'd be interested in hearing any success stories!

      - 5+ hrs between Breakfast and Lunch yes, no lunch
      - 5+ hrs between Lunch and Dinner yes, no lunch
      - finished dinner by 7:30? yes
      - no snacking yes
      - 3.5+ hrs between dinner & bedtime yes
      - exposure to morning temp & sun yes, 43 & most cloudy.

      - slept soundly 10:30-7:50. Why sleeping so much? Still very sleepy when I got up.

      • Glug, I'm so sleepy. 9.5hrs of sleep and feel like I need a nap by 11am! What is going on? I actually felt okay this morning, but am just getting sleepier and sleepier ... happens so often. I want to curl up on the couch and snooze. Why does my cortisol tank at noon?

            - skin = SUPER soft (except elbows rougher than before)
            - slept soundly 10:45- 7:45, very drowsy on waking. Needing a nap by 9:30am.
            - didn't want to finish bkfst. I think I need to take it down from 55 to 50g now.
            - not hungry for dinner. Definitely need to take the BAB down!
            - irritable yesterday & today, dh keeps asking what's wrong b/c my face looks so agitated, hard to enjoy anything, just getting through the day. Definitely a mental fatigue, but also physical ... can't stand to go up stairs.
            - voice low & raspy today, and felt nose thickening after dinner, and singing voice losing all clarity.

                - Lay awake for >30m for the first time in a long time. Why? Slept soundly from then till 7:45, very drowsy on waking. Getting sleepy by 10:30am.
                - wrist still feels swollen, but isn't. Calf, arm, thigh swelling gone. But topmost thigh measurement is up 1/2", even while just an inch lower, it's not up at all.. ?
                - blase & uninterested in anything all day

                      - *victory* - wasn't even hungry at dinner time, which was during a meeting. By the time it got out, it was way too late to eat.. So score one for breakfast-to-breakfast IF'ing!

                        I'm reading this stuff on how hashimoto's can make you swing from hypo to hyperthyroid symptoms, and considering it may be responsible for my "windows." It's freaking me out. I don't get freaked out, people - this is freaking me out. The thought that those wonderful days of normalcy were actually my thyroid being destroyed bit by bit ... not liking it. . IDK if it's accurate or not. Time will tell.

                        I need to pray for peace about it. Whether it's true or not, stress is not good for me.

                        • Know how I used to have "sweet dreams," where I'd be madly indulging in an AYCE dessert buffet, and I always know this is a sign that i have to be extra careful with sweets the next few days, b/c it means my cravings have been triggered by something?

                          Well, two nights ago I had what I can only describe as a FODMAPs dream, lol. It was my birthday, and for some reason a party for me was cancelled, and all my friends and family mailed me the food they had made for me instead. LOL. I opened package after package of plates with one serving of food, and most of it was piles of sour cream and cheese on tacos on tortillas, or avocado on cheesy Mexican food of some other sort. No sweets at all. It cracked me up when I woke up and realized what had happened.

                          And on the weird anxiety I got last night (I am NOT a worrier. not at all.) (this is from another thread):

                          So I prayed on it last night and found my peace. Either way, my realization is that it's a miracle any of us are alive at all after 100+ years of industrialized food in our parents before we were conceived, and the acceleration of that all the way through to the time we were formed. And further acceleration in our own lives. We should ALL have lifelong debilitation. I'm fortunate if all I have to deal with is finding a source of grassfed thyroid, just eating it a bit more often than my ancestors.


                          I knew this last night in my head, but now it's found its way into my heart.

                            - thighs down a bit. I went to bed last night TWO pounds lighter than when I woke up that morning. That is WEIRD for me. I think it's nto so much from eating less, but more from having longer time to deflate after a meal. I think every meal bloats me, and it takes a LONG time to deflate. After this morning's breakfast, though, I'm not super bloated like I have been lately.
                            - my voice took a nosedive yesterday, down about two notes top and bottom. My nose has also been very pink. It ran a bit last night, but still pink today. I do not feel at all like I have any kind of cold.
                            - bit of heartburn after first few bites of brat (before HCl) again. Is it the brats on their own? too much HCl left from bkfst? lack of dinner HCl (making me feel acid in my throat ... nah)

                            • BIg stupid tonight. I was famished by 4:45, ate some of our pastured pork sausage after a whole brat and 2 cups of tea (can't believe I still needed to eat so desperately!) and just "needed" more and more. I said, well, it'll be interesting to see if <1/8 tsp cayenne does anything to me, but I FORGOT it probably has sugar in it. Yes, I felt myself bloat almost immediately, and more with each bite. Then I still had ham steak for dinner.

                              The bloating isn't horrible, but it happened. Ineed to read the label to see if there's sugar in there, or if the trace amount of nightshade could really do that. But sugar is *not* a FODMAP, so ... ? But it is a disaccharide, so ... ?

                                142.5 Wow, the same weight two days in a row? Was 145 last night after the bloat
                                125 days binge-free!

                                B - 5oz brat, SKJ, 1oz rare pork lvr, 1/2 whole ylw sq, 3T CO, chicken broth

                                D - 2-3 baby octopi (wee bit of veg oil), chicken, leftover steak & kidney stew. Full very quickly

                                Results
                                - energy 4/10
                                - bloating = 2mo morning, 3 or 4 after dinner,
                                - skin = SUPER soft (except elbows slightly scratchy)
                                - slept well from 11:15 - 8.
                                - voice still low. nose slightly red
